Fox Paw

Silver Paw returned to the Apprentice Den not daring to glance at Frost Paw. She went over to Shadow Paw who was back from training. They Chatted for a while when they heard a yowl from their leader. They both padded out there pelts brushing. They sat down together both looked up at their leader Ice Star. A new apprentice!, Silver Paw thought exited.

After the meeting

"Hey Shadow Paw!", she called to him "Im busy Silver Paw!" , he yowl back. Whats so important that he can't talk?, Silver Paw thought confused. She then saw an apprentice look at her then Shadow Paw nervous. Silver Paw tilted her head confused then glanced at where Shadow Paw was. She felt her heart sink and her belly light with rage. "Shadow Paw!", Silver Paw snarled. Ge turned to her and stiffened. "Silver Paw I was just uhm....showing Fox Paw around.", he meowed nervously. "You have to show her by nuzzling her?!", she hissed back at him. She felt everything she ever knew crumble under her. "You lied to me!", Silver Paw wailed in pain. "You said you loved me!", she whimpered "But your just a fox hearted liar!", she spat. She then wiped around and ran off. "Silver Paw wait!", he yowled after her. Fox Paw pressed her muzzle against his. "You don't need her." "You have me", Fox Paw meowed. His eyes looked distant. "Y-yeah.", he meowed looking to were Silver Paw ran of to. Fox Paw intertwined her tail with his and padded away with him.

Silver Paw stopped at the stream and she sat down with her eyes swelling with tears. She felt tears stream down her face. "He said he loved me...", she whimpered. "Was I never real to him?", her voice cracked with emotion. Her ear twitch at the sound of rustling in the bushes. She glanced over her shoulder and saw Frost Paw emerge our of the bushes. He stiffened when she saw her. "Why are you here?!", he hissed. "Im sorry ill leave...", she murmured. He widen his eyes in surprise that she didn't snap back. She stood up and began to walk away from the river when Frost Paw stood in her way. "Do you want me to leave or not?", she growled. She saw his eyes light up a bit but it was so fast she thought she imagined it. "I heard about you and Shadow Paw...", he mewed awkwardly. She felt a wave of emotions so strong she jumped forward and buried her muzzle into his fur. He looked at her shocked and suddenly his eyes soften with sympathy. "I can't believe he did that...", Silver Paw whimpered. Frost Paw was silent then sighed. "He is not who you think he is.", he meowed. She looked up at him and her fur bristled with alarm. She leaped back and looked at her paws embarrassed. "Im sorry!" "I didn't know I was that close!" She stared in shock as he began to chuckle. "Do you wanna talk about it?", he mewed looking at his paws. Silver Paw sighed. "Sure" "I guess I need some cat to talk to..", she meowed. Frost Paw sat down next to her. "I-i just can believe he-", Silver Paw croaked out. Frost Paw put his tail over her shoulders trying to comfort her. I guess he isn't such a fox heart after all., Silver Paw thought.
