They tell me it's bad
But I'm just sad
My heart is in my throat
And I just want to float
Aimlessly because if I were to go to you
They'd tell me I'm wrong
I sing in my room for you
Hoping you like me too
But it's so wrong
You're like the orange poppies in the rain
You're like the strawberry to my yogurt
So why is it so horrible to them
Maybe you hate me too
But I like you through and through
I can't see you
I can't see you
But oh I so want to
You're the orange poppies in the rain
You're the one I want to hold
But why do I get the feeling that I'm cold
Like I've got purple toes
