Trolls, Elves, and Goblins? Oh yay! (Note the sarcasm)

I will make sure to keep to the original plot while having some changes to it. The ending, for sure, will be different. I am a hopeless writer at romance and I have no patience, but I might need some advice on how to make them fall for each other please!!!

Thorin's POV

How dare that female talk to me like that! She's part of my quest, my company, and I'm the leader! I deserve her respect! And what did she mean by being older? Sure, she seems and feels familiar, and I could have sworn I've seen her eyes before. I have a part of my mind wanting to ask her age, but it becomes quiet when I remember the rudeness of that question as any female is very touchy about that subject. I wince quietly as I think about what Dis would do if I even thought of asking a female in front of her that question. I would never admit it, but my sister is scary when she's mad.

I look back at the woman talking to Gandalf. Her hood is up, and now that I have a good look at her, I see black gloves covering her hands, a sword on her hip, some type of guards on her shins, and a kind of black metal glint under her hood. I then look at her eyes. Even from the front, I can still see the golden color of them. Looking at them, I remember the way the gold glittered and glowed when I was still in the mountain. I never fully looked at them, but I caught glimpses. Comparing her eyes to their color, I think the gold is more dull due to the vibrant and natural color to her eyes. They really are familiar. A memory tries to surface, but it's thrown off when I hear a voice I never expected to hear again.

"Wait! Wait!" yells the Hobbit. I turn around, shocked and dumbfounded.

Elanor

I hear Bilbo behind me, and look. I smile and start to laugh. I had a bet with the two brothers, Kili and Fili, that Bilbo will be joining us. My eyes follow Bilbo as he walks up to Balin and hand over the contract. "Welcome Master Baggins, to the Company of Thorin Oakenshield!" I smirk at the two brothers, and ride between their ponies. I hold out my hands, and receive two pouches of gold from both of them. "Thank you, young dwarves. I feel like we'll be excellent friends in the future." They both try not to smile, but they fail.

After moving on, I start to get an itch between my shoulders. I groan, not wanting to attract the attention of the dwarves. I feel bumps appear, and then feel my wings against my coat. I sigh, and will them to shrink smaller until they're barely noticeable by the fabric. I sigh in relief as I no longer have an itch. Gandalf looks back at me and smiles. I shrug, and have Sae move next to Bilbo. I talk with him, and try to keep my tiny wings from flapping under my jacket. I also give Bilbo a handkerchief, and pull out a book. I read with one hand holding the book, and the other has a piece of deer jerky. I hear Gandalf chuckle, and send a playful glare his way. I catch Thorin looking my way with a confused look on his face. I give him a shrug, take a bite of jerky, and return to my book.

When we make camp on an overlook of the forest below, I sit near the edge in a crouched position with my bedroll next to a tree and my pack. Sae is near the other ponies, not tied up. She will leave if she senses danger, and I won't deprive her of that. After taking a small bite of lembas, I turn around to put it in my pack, when I see Thorin and Dwalin watching me. Realizing they've been caught, Dwalin turns around to help while Thorin is still watching me. I just put my food back in its leaf and put it back. When I do, I grab my bow and arrows, and turn around.

Thorin's POV

She's a very strange woman. I try to remember anyone who had a strange-looking jacket, eyes, and my thoughts turn to an early memory. It was when my grandfather had put the Arkenstone on his throne, and the elf-king who had lived in Greenwood had come. Another had, too, but it was a mystery. I had waited till the end of the visit to confront this mystery person. I had asked several questions, including one that had the stranger reveal themselves. When they did, I was surprised to see a very beautiful elleth with midnight-black hair, fair skin, and golden eyes. I remember turning red, and hearing her melodic laugh. She had revealed to me that she was the Dark Dragon, and was curious to see the jewel.

I snap out of this memory, and stomp my way to Elanor by the cliff. I stand behind her with clenched fists, and maybe, possibly a red face.

Elanor

I hear heavy footsteps towards me. I turn around to see Thorin in my face, his is a very noticeable red color in the pale moonlight.

"What?"

"I recognize you!"

Oh, I'm screwed.
