3rd Point of view

Thorin stares at the fire, deep in thought. Elanor has already reached the brothers when Bilbo had entered the troll camp. She stops just behind them, and when they turn around, they jump making their hot soup pour on them. "Where. Did. The hobbit. Go?!", the she-elf asks with noticeable anger in her eyes. "W-we sent h-im t-to inv-vestigate the camp...." "....with trolls." they bravely answer. Elanor narrows her eyes more, and jerks her head to their camp as a signal to get the others. Fili and Kili nod, and trip over their feet to get there. Then they get up, and rush to their uncle. Elanor watches their retreating figures, shaking her head. She then unsheathes her sword, stretches her arms, legs, crack her neck, and says, "Finally, some fun!" Then she walks calmly to the camp.

When she gets out of the treeline, she sees Bilbo being help up by his ankle. She sprints to the troll holding him, and with a quick slash, causes a deep cut on the same ankle of the troll. In pain, the troll drops Bilbo. Kili rushes out and catches Bilbo, while the other dwarves rush out to help Elanor. Slashing her way around, she leaves deep cuts on each troll on their legs and arms, until Bilbo is caught again by two trolls. "Lay down your arms, or e'll rip his off!", the one not holding Bilbo says.

Next thing Elanor knows, she's tied in front of the fire, knocked out with a bruise forming on her right temple. The trolls, especially Tom, know what she is. So she was knocked out after the dwarves were disarmed. Thorin glares at the trolls, and looks to Elanor with a worried glance. Her bonds are tight, and would most likely cause burns if she had struggled while awake.

When Bilbo hears about the trolls' weakness, he gets up and tries to stall. "Wait! Wait! You're making a terrible mistake. I mean, have you smelt them? And have you forgotten that they're dwarves?! They stink very bad, and if you want to ruin your smelling, then go ahead!" Bilbo catches all the dwarves' attention, as well as the troll that cooks, William. "You'll regret that!" "Have you smelt yourself lately?! You're not exactly a basket of daisies, yourself!" The dwarves throw other insults that get drowned out by the cook. "How will you have us cook 'em then?" "Well, the secret to cooking dwarf, is to...... um, well..." "What? What is it?" "The secret is to-" "What?!" "I'm trying to tell you." Bilbo looks at Elanor, who has an eye open. She nods at him to continue, and she tries to point to her sword by her side. Bilbo gets an idea, and shouts it out. "It's to skin them first!" At this, the dwarves are furious and throw more insults. Elanor quietly laughs that Thorin hears. He stares at the now-awake woman, and she winks at him. He stares confused, but continues to stare when she rests her head down with her chin in the dirt, and eyes closed again.

"Tom, get me knife", Bert tells the other troll.

"Rubbish! We don' have a lot of time left. Dawn ain't that far. Let's get this lot finished, then scarf the rest and go back!", argues Tom. The third troll, Will, agrees and moves forward to the dwarves tied up, barely missing Elanor being crushed. The troll picks up Bombur, and dangles the poor dwarf over his mouth. "Wait! Not him! He's riddled!" yells Bilbo. This causes the troll to drop Bombur onto the other dwarves, and the troll backs away. His foot stops inches from Elanor's face. When he looks down, he picks the woman up. "What about her? She seems fresh!" The troll licks her face, but spits and drops her closer to the dwarves on her back. The air is forced from her lungs, and she struggles to get it back. "Ugh! I hate that taste! We should kill her now! She's one of them!" Will yells out angrily. Thorin looks at her, thinking of any possibilities, but holds his breath in. Now he understands, and looks away from her. Elanor catches her breath, and rolls onto her stomach. She closes her eyes, praying for the sun.
