#5 Steal!

Neru peeked carefully at the corridor to see if someone was there. When she's certain no one's there, she quickly make a gesture to Yuji who's behind her to follow her.

Yuji followed Neru's steps carefully. He walked so slow and behind which made Neru pissed.

"Are you a turtle? Why do you walk so slow and behind?" Neru whispered angrily.

"I'm just being careful. Like for example if someone saw us in front, that person will capture you first and because I was so behind I will have enough time to run and escape."

"You really thinking we would be caught, huh?"

Yuji raised his eyebrows.

"I wouldn't say yes and I wouldn't say no either. Just that I want to make sure I'll not get into trouble if something happens."

"So if something happens you would give up and just run away? Just like that?"

"Uhh... Yes?"

"Baka. Then what about capturing the old interviews and pictures of Hirate Yurina?" Neru pushed Yuji causing him to move slightly from his position.

Yuji was thankful enough Neru didn't push him hard. The strength of the girl in front of him is so big that he doesn't even want to know what will happen to him if the girl had pushed him hard. Maybe might fall down and break his waist bone.

"But Nagahama I think there's no sense in risking your life and freedom just to steal a file. Plus I'm just your helper, not your partner to work together for a mission."

"I don't see the difference between a helper and partner. And I don't care what you say, willingly or not you're gonna help me steal the file. Period."

Yuji sighed. Neru's stubbornness is really unbeatable.

"Don't forget your words and promises to that old man, Yuji. You said you'll dedicate your life to the organisation and you'll do anything since you have nothing to lose."

Neru's words made Yuji had a sudden realization of what he really is.

"... Hai." That's all Yuji can utter from his mouth.

"Get a grip on yourself. Come on, let's go." Neru said then turned her face in front and walked.

Yuji nodded and followed Neru. But this time he catch up with Neru's steps and doesn't allow himself to be left behind.

Neru smiled seeing how Yuji changed after she gave him a little words. She felt a bit guilty for reminding Yuji about his past but that's the only way she can think to lift up Yuji's spirit. 

Then they walked together, slowly and in silence. The corridor seem like it has no ending so Neru got bored and break the silence.

"Hey, Yuji. Do you know... Why Mr Kawamura doesn't let us view the files?"

"Because we're outsiders and have nothing to do with the task force. Didn't he said that himself?" Yuji answered calmly.

"No. That's not it."

"Eh? Then what?" Yuji made a confused face.

"Mr Kawamura lied. The real reason why he doesn't let us view the files is because he doesn't want us to take advance step than the task force in capturing Hirate Yurina. He doesn't want us to capture Hirate Yurina before them."

"Wow, I never thought of that. So he doesn't want us to get the media's attention?"

"Yeah. And he's afraid the society will end up trusting the assassination organisation more than the police and task force."
