All I remember is blood, so much blood and fire. Then she was there her hand extended. All of a sudden darkness, I can't remember anything after that...
I feel a soft hand on my head, voices muffled as I come to. I open my eyes to see blurry figures all around the room. "Quiet, I think she's awake." Says the person holding me. I try to focus on one of the figures in front of me, it's a toy. I close my eyes confused, I'm sure I heard more than one voice. Where am I? The person under me moves and I have to catch myself before I fall. I look up and see a girl, her eyes on me. I shrink back not knowing why I'm trying to hide my abnormalities. Then I realize I'm not wearing my normal cloths. I stand to look at myself.
I look different, I'm wearing a white dress with layer and at the ends of the layer is blue ribbon. There is a big ribbon that wraps around my waist and is tied in a bow in the back. At the end of the blue ribbons trails are big bells that jingle whenever I move. I wear white shoes with white stocking that go up to my thigh. There is a smaller blue ribbon around my neck that holds a smaller bell that jingles when I move my neck.
I look up to see that I am no longer in the room filled with toys, but in a room of mirrors. The lady I was with is no were in sight. I look at the mirror in front of me really getting a good look at myself. My hair blends with my dress, as white as it is. My tail flicks behind me as I hear bells ring. I am not moving so it can't be me. I look in the mirrors to see someone in the doorway.
I turn and notice the person in the doorway is just like me, a cat. His eye stares at me, his face emotionless. He breaths deeply and I try to hide from his gaze but it's a worthless attempt seeing how the room is filled with mirrors. Instead I examine the man/cat in the doorway trying not to show how I feel about his gaze. He is tall, a lot taller than I am. His ears are black along with his short black hair. He also has a ribbon around his neck, red not blue, holding a bell like mine. I mindlessly touch my bell making it ring making his ears twitch, then examine him more. He has big paws attached to long arms, white ex's line the outside of his arms. His red shirt also has two rows of ex's but they are black. He wears a large black scarf; at the end of the trails are bells. He has black pants and pointed shoes, that's when I noticed that he was moving towards me.
I lean against the mirror closest to me as he gets closer. "Who are you?" he asks in a silky voice stopping in front of me. I open my mouth to speak but nothing comes out and I stop and think "I don't remember...who are you?"
"I am Cheshire, I protect this realm."
He comes closer, leaning one paw on the mirror, and starts sniffing me. I hold my breath as he says "why do you smell of the outside world?" I think and answer "I don't know, I can't remember anything before waking up here." He bumps his bell against mine and they jingle in unison making both of us freeze. We stay there; he's so close to me that it's suffocating. He backs up letting his paw slide off the mirror and dangle at his side. He turns, bells ring, and walks away.
I watch him curious of what he might do. He gets to the doorway and glances back at me. "are you coming?" he asks and walks into the dark hallway. I hesitate then start to run into the dark hall leaving only the sound of the bells I wear behind.
