Chapter Two-
{16th August, 5:45PM}
Shit! I almost forgot about my date with Jai. I rushed through my closet. Sushi. Casual. My phone beeped.
A text from Jai: "Hey, change of plans, we're going to Olivia's."
"Ohhh. What happened to sushi? ):"
"I thought a first date should be more...fun ;)"
Olivia's is this cute little restaurant in an old building, and it's really fancy. I wondered how Olivia's was considered 'fun' when the doorbell rang. Shit. Jai.
Without thinking, I ran down the stairs and opened the door.
"Hey Lottie! You look....uumm...is that what you're wearing to Olivia's?" He asked, looking at me. I was wearing a bra and boy shorts. I was too busy texting Jai I forgot to dress myself. How embarrassing.
"I...uh...No. Sorry. I'll go get ready, you can watch TV or something."
I ran up the stairs and felt Jai's eyes on me. I turned red with embarrassment. Wow.
I picked out a slimming white dress and slipped on some black heels. I took my hair out off my messy bunn and quickly applied my make up. I ran down stairs as fast as I could without falling.
"Better?" I asked, as I strutted through the living room in front of Jai.
"Well... I did like the boy shorts." He said with a wink.
"Shall we go?" He said, as he opened the door.
"Wouldn't want to be more late than we already are."
I climbed into Jai's car. Wow. This is really nice.
"Let's roll." He said, slipping on some aviators. I let out a quiet giggle.
Fifteen minutes into the car ride, I realised we weren't going the proper way to Olivia's.
"Uh..Jai? Do you know where you're going?"
"Yeah, I thought we'd go some place special before." He said with a wink.
Fifteen minutes later, Jai announced that we had reached his 'special place.' We were at the top of Lover's Peak.
"Jai? What's so special about this place? All people do here is have sex in their car."
The first date and he already wanted to get in my pants? Maybe this wasn't my best idea.
"I know, weird right? I'm taking a beautiful girl I just met yesterday to Lover's Peak. But I'm not here for that. I'm here for the sunset. Look." he pointed ahead.
"Wow..that's truly amazing." I said, astonished.
"I know, it's worth missing our reservation."
"What? Where are we going to eat now?" I almost yelled.
"I don't know, got any ideas?" He said, blankly.
"Jai!"
"Kidding, let's go to macca's."
"I'm in a dress!"
"Yeah! Let's go coning!"
"Ugh, fine." I agreed.
We drove to Macca's in silence.
"I'll have a vanilla come please."
"Is that all?"
"Yep." Jai said, popping the P.
"2.55 at the window."
Jai drove up to the window and paid, the whole time staring at me. I gave him a quick smile and reached into my purse for some lip gloss. I noticed Jai shifting in his seat, but I brushed it off.
"Here you go, sir."
Jai grabbed just the ice cream and left the clerk with a just the cone in his hand.
We both instantly started cracking up. We stopped at a red light.
"What do I do with this ice cream on my hands?" He asked.
"Eat it!" I chanted.
"Maybe, you...you...never mind." He said.
"What?Maybe I should what?" I said with a smirk.
"Lick it?" He questioned.
I laughed. I felt bad, but it was pretty funny. I saw his face turn bright red as he looked down.
"No way! How do I know you've washed your hands when you're done on the toilet?" I joked.
"Hey! I'm a hygienic young man!" He smiled.
"I'm only kidding. Hey, this wasn't a bad first date at all." I said.
"Oh, so it's a date?" He said.
"Only if you want it to be." I smiled.
"I do, we should go on a second. What do you think?"
"I'd love to." I laughed.
We pulled up to my house and saw my front door wide open. A look of worry spread across Jai's face.
"Uh...was your window broken when I was here earlier?" He whispered.
"Wh, What?" I was so confused. Were my parents home?
An ear piercing scream slashed through the air. My sister. Audrey.
