Tikki's POV:
"Hiya!!!" I said stretching my yoyo towards the dummy. The yoyo twirled in the dummy and I pulled it towards my direction. It was so heavy. I groaned in frustration pulling it towards me.
"Aahh!" I shouted and I tripped. The string streched back to me and the head of the yoyo fell in my head.
"That's not how you use it in battle. You're like a person pulling a cow from a rice field." A voice came from my back and I saw my yellow striped kwami friend.
"Pollen?" I asked. "What are you doing here?" I added. I pull the string of the yoyo so the head will return to me but unfortunatelly, it landed into my head. I groaned in pain and rubbed the part where it hit.
"Master Shang wants me to came here. I'm here to help you. Besides, our weapons are alike." She said and waved her yellow spinning top with a black sting and stripes.
"Let's start?" She asked and smirked.
-
"No! Do it again."
"Again!"
"Ugh! Again!" She said and facepalmed.
I breath heavily so I can catch up some air. I kneeled down on the ground and sighed. I really thought it would be that easy.
"Let's have a break." She went near me and offered her hand. I held her hand and stand up. We went to the bench area of the arena and sat there.
"My body hurts like heck. Ouch" I said and my neck makes a cracking sound.
"It's natural on first days but as time goes by, you'll get used to it." She said while looking down on the ground.
"What's your experience in your first days of training, Pollen?" I asked.
"Oh well, not good. Like yours." She said and we both chuckled. "I had to admit, it's hard to train with our weapons that has strings. You need to be careful that it won't break. I had a hard time with it. I don't know who to call for help on how to manipulate this thing. I kinda hate it at the first place. It's ridiculous. Why won't it be like Wayzz that is a shield? Or like Plagg that is an extending staff? Or maybe Duusu's that is a fan? But everything has a reason. If my weapon is not this spinning top, I can't have venom." She said looking at her weapon..
"So..... Do you think my weapon has a connection with my power?" I asked while looking at my red-dotted yoyo.
"Well most of us actually." She said and shrugged.
"We should continue your training." She said and we returned to the training ground of the arena.
"I will teach you how to uhmm... escape with your weapon." She said and rolled her spinning top. I also did what she did.
"Look for a spot where you can sustain your yoyo." I looked around the arena and I saw a lamp post. I swung the yoyo to it causing it to twirl and have a grip. I pulled it a bit to make sure it can sustain my body. I swung to the string and unfortunately I let go of the string and it threw me to the wall of the arena. I got stucked in the wall for a while and I fell down a few seconds later.
"Ouch." I said and rubbed my head.
"Again."
I made another attempt of it and it ended the same. Few attempts later, there is still no improvement.
