ashton's band, 5 seconds of summer, only covered rude, by magic!. honestly, it hurt my feelings, but i knew that it shouldn't, because he didn't like me back. in fact, a few weeks after they covered the song, we stopped talking. they're still coming to california, and hopefully i'll run into them, but i doubt it.

i feel like if i actually told ash that i liked him, we would still be talking.

i didn't actually block his kik, and i didn't delete our conversation. maybe he was awake and maybe he would talk back. I opened the app, scrolled down to our conversation, and typed.

hailey: hey ash (:

i locked my phone, my heart beating. a few minutes later, i heard the kik notification noise.

ash10: hola

i grinned and typed back.

hailey: so wyd??

ash10: just packing

i freaked out. big time.

hailey: WHATWHATWNAGAWHWTATWHAT

ash10: yeah aha we're gonna be in cali

hailey: omg we still need to meet muchacho

ash10: i don't know if we can, we have shows

hailey: Oh. Okay, I understand.

ash10: hailey

hailey: Yes?

ash10: im sorry

i didn't respond. he promised he would meet me. for 2 years, we had been planning this, and now he backs out on his promise.

ash10: hailey

ash10: im sorry

ash10: please

ash10: HAILEY

hailey: Don't talk to me. But just FYI, don't make promises unless you can keep them.

he read it and didn't respond. our friendship was probably over.
