haunted by lovers

i see your face
in the silence of the city at night
in the yellow window
on a train that passes by
in the movie theater's
blue movements

i see your face
in the ripped edges of my dreams
when the night has exploded

in the corner of the mirror
before the room burns down
in the shadow of the river
where the water turns

i see your face
in all faces.
your face is light,
your face is darkness

your features, still not shaped
your eyes, still not lifted

i see your face in my lovers breath
and always, you turn away

and always, your cold eyes
burn into mine.
