Song: Never Sleep Alone - Kaskade

Jaine

You belong to me, with me. By my side. I still remember the first time I saw you walking on the sidewalk. You took my breath away. I'll have you in my arms soon, love. P.S. I hope your husband is doing fine. We don't want anything happening to him, do we?

That's what the latest note read.

The fear I felt soon changed into something else. A foreign emotion I hadn't felt in years.

Anger.

I felt rage burning in every inch of my body. So much that I was shaking uncontrollably now.

This lunatic just barges into my life out of nowhere and is now threatening to kill my husband. Who gave him the right to destroy my life?

I crumpled the piece of paper and put it in my pocket. I marched outside of my house not caring to put a coat on. I stopped in the middle of the road.

"Listen you asshole" I shouted "I do not belong to you! I do not belong to anyone. I belong to myself. I am not anybody's fucking property to own. Get that into your crazy mind!"

I didn't care if my neighbours thought I was insane.

"You think you are so smart sending me all of these notes? News flash, you aren't! You are a coward hiding behind these notes. I dare you to come out and show yourself to me, motherfucker! If you think you have got the guts, try writing at least your fucking name on the note" I screamed, breathing heavily.

I knew he was hiding somewhere and listening to me.

I got inside my house after calming down. I admit it felt good after getting those words out of my head. I had been holding them in for a while now.

I climbed up the stairs to our bedroom to wake Walden up.

It was strange how he did not wake up from my outburst.

I creaked the door open and my heart jumped out of my chest at what I saw.

Walden was struggling against a man dressed in all black. I noticed a knife in his hand and I froze in fear unable to make any sound.

Help him! Help him! Somehow do something. Save him! My mind screamed at me.

Without thinking, I lunged at the attacker making him stagger backwards. He quickly regained himself and threw me to the opposite side of the room. The back of my head met the corner of the bed, making me see stars for a moment.

I looked in time to see Walden punching the guy in his jaw and I heard the sound of a bone cracking.

I tried to get up but I couldn't balance my body after being hit in the head.

In my blurry vision, I noticed the attacker was on the floor, cupping his jaw while Walden was looking around frantically for  what I guess, his phone or a way to restraint the attacker.

Suddenly, I heard a cry of pain and I somehow managed to bring myself into a sitting position.

I screamed bloody murder.
