“What are you doing?” he asked them. His eyes were looking at them as if looking for something. Then christien spotted what and cursed at his stupidity. They weren’t wearing badges. He looked behind christien and his dad to his papa and the sleeping boy he was cradling in his arms. “I am here to take that the testing chambers so if you would mind handing him over and retiring code Bane to his holding. He had just been revived and would need to be left for a while before we can do any further testing” he said, his eyes trained on them.

Not knowing what to say, they remained still for a while before christien got a wild idea.

“Um, we were asked to bring them both to the testing chambers” christien replied. His heart was thudding away in his chest and his skin was covered in nervous sweat as he tried to keep the uncertainty out of his voice but had a sinking feeling that he failed miserably.

“By who?”The man asked, bringing up the clip board he was holding behind his back and waiting for them t continue.

Be ready and shift when I do. We’re getting out of here the noisy way. He heard his dad’s voice in his head and waited. The guy in front of them waited a few more seconds before his eyes narrowed and he pulled out some sort of pen from his pocket. He clicked the end and the whole place erupted in alarms.

Shit.

Immediately, they were swamped by more guys dressed similarly. Christien and his party took a step back at the metal poles they were holding with electricity crackling from its end.

Now!! His dad shouted in his head and he immediately shifted. In his state of panic, he didn’t bother restraining his shift and shifted into his humungous moon wolf. His wolf was the same colour as his hair. Its fur had every shade of red you could think of in it with a random white stripe down from his head to his tail thanks to his parents’ blood.

When they adopted him, they had to exchange blood to officially be a family. It seemed that the strip carried.

He turned around to see his parents didn’t bother restraining either. His papa already had the little boy held in his jaw. Their spine were pressed against the ceiling and their heads lowered as they were too big for the small space they shifted in. he picked his mate up in his jaw as his dad let out an ear piercing howl. The humans dropped the poles and covered their ears.

Run!! And christien took off running. He ran the way he came, ploughing through the masses of human clutching their ears at the echo of the howl.

When in their full unrestrained for, their every senses where enhanced by a thousand. They ran faster, heard farther, saw farther and better. They were unstoppable.

Christien hurry! His dad shouted in his head when they made it to the elevator. They all wouldn’t fit in this form and with the amount of adrenaline pumping through them, there was no chance of them shifting to their smaller forms any time soon. His dad drew his claw through the wall and the brick crumpled. The elevator came crashing through the shoot has his dads claws slashed through the wires holding it up. The elevator hit the floor with a sickening thud.

The wall now had an open space through which you could see the top derelict floor. Christien didn’t waste time shooting through the hole and up to the top floor, out the building and into the woods. As he made it into the woods, he heard his papa whine and a thud as his huge form hit the ground. He turned around to see humans lined the front of the building, all holding guns full of silver bullets aimed at his papa.

He put his mate down carefully at the edge of the woods and turned to the humans. His papa was already shifting into his smaller form, the smaller boy clutched in his jar by the rags he was wearing. His dad was there immediately, picking up his mate in his powerful jaw with the human hanging from his jaw. He saw the humans quiver with fear as he and his dad rose to their full height. One of the humans raised their gun and christien so red.

His parents taught him not to kill and he wouldn’t, that however didn’t mean that he couldn’t maim. He raised one of his claws and slashed though the air in front of the humans. The swiftness of the action had the air infront of them under so much pressure it threw them back into the building.

He turned and picked up his mate again, and followed his dad into the woods. As they ran through the woods, he could feel the adrenaline draining off and his wolf was returning back to a normal wolf size. They were far enough from the building but nowhere near their territory.

Black spots appeared in his vision and a cold flush covered his head. The weight of his mate in his jaw became more prominent. He pushed himself further but couldn’t see where he was going. His knees buckled and gave out below him and he hit the floor with thud.
