6 ~ Anger

You would laugh hysterically at your past self right now.

The you from almost a week ago was an idiot and an optimistic fool.

You had hoped that nothing would change and that mark liking someone would never impact the close friendship you built but you were wrong.

You also hoped that jaemin and renjun would come around and talk to you but you were wrong again.

You sighed as you glanced at your phone as you noticed no new messages. You had been texting jaemin for days now but you never got a reply from him. You were frustrated, you tried to talk to mark and renjun but mark was only focused on minsoo and renjun would only give you excuses for not being able to talk.

You were honestly worried for jaemin but it seems like you were the only one. Even though you had taeyong and his friends, haechan, and jisoo you still missed your old friends. You missed talking to and hanging out with them.

You sighed and opened the large cafeteria doors as you slipped your phone into your pocket. You looked around and saw haechan waving to you. You walked over to the table and sat down next to him

"hey y/n" minsoo smiled. you smiled and gave a slight wave

Great, so minsoo was being a better friend then mark who was literally supposed to be your best friend.

You tried to eat but you thoughts still wandered to you slowly crumbling friendships.

But today was different, today you hoped that you could finally spend some quality time with your best friend. You looked down at your phone nervously while checking the date, today was the day. So you quickly looked up and mustered up all of your courage and finally spoke to mark after two weeks "hey mark, are we still going to the movies" you asked.

You and mark went to the movies once a month ever since you became friends. Then he finally looked up at you "oh, minsoo and I are going tonight actually" he said

He must have forgot

You felt hurt, you always went on the set day that you guys planned and today happened to be that day.

Then minsoo replied happily "you should come y/n" but you noticed the look in marks eyes. It clearly showed he wanted to go with minsoo alone. You looked up and shook your head "no it's okay"

Then jisoo turned towards you "why don't we have movie night tonight instead of tomorrow" she asked and you smiled while you nodded your head. Then you heard a whine of protest from beside you, you looked over at haechan as he pouted.

"oh shut it haechan" jisoo giggled but you noticed haechan looked towards her with an indescribable emotion, haechan had always looked at jisoo like that. You wondered what it meant...maybe he had a secret rivalry with jisoo or something.

But your thoughts of renjun, jaemin, and mark quickly overtook your curiosity.

After lunch you and jisoo left the school quickly since you were both excited to start your movie marathon. You shoved the keys into your lock and opened the apartment door quickly. You both rushed inside and you began making random snacks and drinks.

You finally set up everything on the small table in the living room in front of the couch and you smiled "alright, we are ready" you said.

You sat with jisoo on the couch, you had decided to do girls night at your and renjuns apartment since he was never there anymore

"okay time to start then" jisoo cheered and put in the first sad movie.

You were half way through the third movie and your eyelids got heavy.

You had been crying non stop at the sad movies that has played and clearly you were exhausted now, but the sad movies were helping you lower your stress levels since you were able to cry out some pent up emotions you didn't even know you hand.

You tried to stay awake as your eyelids closed but they soon snapped open when a hand went flying and hit you in the face.

You groaned in pain and turned to the side seeing jisoo had fallen asleep and was in the most odd position on the couch. Her legs dangled off the side and her hands were in the air and one of them had smacked you in the face.

You chuckled as the weird position she was managing to sleep in and you snorted as she started drooling, you took out your phone and you were about to take some pictures to send to her later so you could tease her but your phone vibrated in your hand.

You swiped the screen and your heart almost stopped as a rush of happiness overwhelmed you. Jaemin...he had finally messaged you. You sat up on the couch and smiled, you just hoped he was okay.

You opened your messages and your eyes scanned your phone screen reading his text

Jaejam 😍: Don't text me again I told you to leave me alone.

Y/n: I just want to make sure you're okay

jaejam 😍: I already told you I'm fine, just leave me alone.

y/n: Why do I feel like that "I'm fine" is a lie jaemin, you haven't been to school for so long.

You angrily groaned as you sunk into the couch as he didn't reply anymore after your last message. You've never been to jaemin's house so you couldn't go visit him and you couldn't ask renjun since he was ignoring you.

You sighed while your mood plummeted, you felt like shit. Then your phone dinged, you hoped jaemin had finally replied but you noticed it was mark. You smiled again and suddenly another wave of happiness hit you, you couldn't believe you guys were finally talking again.

Markie💖: Hey, I know it was our movie day today but its a good thing that you said no to minsoo. Minsoo really looked pretty today too 🧡

You felt your blood boil. He KNEW it was your movie day which he specified that you guys should never miss no matter what. He even dragged you outside when you had the flu once claiming 'it's not that bad', you literally kept leaving to puke. He also only texted you about minsoo AGAIN.

You felt anger rise and replace the sadness you had been feeling for the past two weeks. You felt like you were seeing red as your fingers quickly typed and you sent the message

y/n: meet me after school tomorrow, no excuses.

After you texted mark you angrily set down your phone and then began falling asleep on the couch ready to face the day tomorrow.
