19 ~ Hurt

Here you were, right where you and haechan had met after your first heartbreak and now your second. You stood there and noticed a figure slumped on the familiar bench.

You felt like turning back because of the ache in your heart just from seeing him but you knew you had to do this. You fiddled with your sweater and surprisingly you felt calm approaching the figure sitting at the bench.

You slowly continued your approach and noticed his bright red hair was gone. Your eyes widened for a second thinking that you had the wrong person. You figured due to the rain haechan might have gone home.

But as you got closer to the figure you noticed it was definitely haechan.

"um... hey haechan" you whispered out. You felt angry, upset, and heartbroken but this was the only greeting that came from your mouth. You watched as he sat up straight and seemed to slowly turn around

You noticed his red puffy eyes and your heart clenched in pain seeing he had definitely cried. When your eyes met his he quickly jumped up from his spot and he looked at you in surprise.

You both stood there for a while, haechan was probably trying to process why you were there and you had to admit you were also trying to process why you had come. You noticed his hair was damp and his clothes were wet. He was probably sitting here for a long time since it stopped raining a while ago.

Finally haechan had broken the silence "I-I can explain everything" he said while he slowly approached you but you backed up and he immediately stopped. The he sighed and you spoke "I want you to tell me from the start haechan" you said with a slightly cracking voice.

You just needed to know everything but you wanted to hear it from haechan himself. You knew that a part of you ran here because you still loved haechan, a part of you couldn't handle thinking about him sitting alone for hours on end everyday like jisoo had told you he had been doing. However, a bigger part of you was here because you just needed to know that everything people were telling you was true, you needed to know if there was anything between you two anymore.

"I liked jisoo for a while. Mark, minsoo, jeno, jisoo, and I had been friends for probably three years" you knew this since mark started talking about his new friends he met a while back.

"Around a year ago I started to develop feelings for jisoo, after a long time I finally decided to confess to her. Once I told her how I felt she told me she didn't feel the same. This was a couple of days before mark introduced us to you, jaemin, and renjun" then haechan nervously began playing with the sleeves of his sweater, a habit he had when he was worried.

"I-I then noticed you sitting on this bench" he said while looking at the bench beside him.

"I knew you had your heartbroken I could see it on your face. I knew you had liked someone because the look on your face was so similar to my own, the look of heartbreak and rejection. I had a feeling that you liked mark and then the next day I had confirmed my suspicion that you had liked him when I noticed how you looked at him when he was with minsoo" you sighed out, apparently even though you kept that you liked mark to yourself everyone already knew. Jaemin, renjun, minsoo, and now haechan.

"I noticed on that day jisoo was paying attention to us, she looked at me more than usual so I decided to make a p-plan" you gulped and you felt your heart clench.

"I decided to get closer to you to make jisoo jealous" and then your heart shattered. You felt your anger and sadness rise up but haechan quickly added.

"I-I know I'm the absolute worst for even thinking of a plan like that but things soon changed...I started falling for you. The more time I spent with you the more you completely consumed my thoughts until I only thought about you. I realized I only had feelings for you, I realized I love you y/n. That day when I confessed and you said you liked me back I couldn't even believe it because the girl I fell in love with was finally mine" haechan was crying now and through his sobs he managed to continue.

"b-but I messed everything up I should have told you the truth about jisoo sooner. Then maybe you would believe that my feelings for you are real and we could have avoided this whole thing" he croaked out and you felt your heart shatter all over again. However, you needed to tell him how you felt.

"y-you broke my heart haechan" you said and you felt tears running down your face not being able to keep in your emotions any longer as you stood in front of the person who truly broke your heart "I trusted you, I though you had feelings for me and then to figure out it it was for your benefit to get another girl" you were full on sobbing at this point but you could hear haechan crying as well.

"NO my feelings are real, I love you y/n. I-I'm sorry, I may have been a complete idiot at the start but my feelings for you are real. These three weeks have been so terrible, I just wanted you to come back. I missed your laugh, your cuddles, your kisses, our late night talks, and so so much more" haechan yelled.

You felt like you knew haechans feelings for you were real but he had still hurt you and caused you so much pain.

"you really h-hurt me haechan" you felt your heart ache more but haechan approached you.

"please y/n, I love you so much. Please give me one more chance" he cried out.

You felt your heart ache once more, he really did hurt you....
