The rest of dinner seemed to pass in a blur. Men and women exchanging hellos and goodbyes as they finished their plates and departed. Not many wanting to linger and chat more than necessary. She wondered if it were her presence that made them retire so quickly, a impoverished girl one day and the future queen the next. She was the talk of the kingdom and the mere thought made her squirm in her seat.

She felt a warm touch on her hand and turned to see the king had rested his hand on hers. She pulled her hand away and stood to depart, her face peaking with shades of red. 'How dare he touch her without her permission' She fummed as she walked back down the long hall towards her chambers. She crossed her arms and huffed, talking to herself. No sooner had she calmed herself as had she realized she was lost, completely and utterly lost. She tried to retrace her steps to get back to the dinning hall and wound up even further lost. In a huff of defeat she leaned against the wall and slid down it, placing her face in her hands.

"Lost My Queen?" A chuckle rose from his voice as he spoke.

"Excuse me?" Stunned a bit she looked up to see his soft smile and for a moment she softened.  "Just a little…" She allowed a soft smirk to cross her face.

He extended his hand to her, "Allow me to assist you than" He pulled her to her feet gently. "I use to explore the halls as a child and get lost quite frequently" He smiled in a hushed tone.

She nodded in return listening and following him. After a few twists and turns they arrived at her door, After a moment of silence as they looked at each other and the floor He spoke.

"Here is your room My queen" His voice soft.

"Abby…" She whisper

Confused he looked at her "Excuse me?"

A bit louder she spoke, looking into his eyes "My name, is Abby"

He smiled, "Here is your room than, Abby" as he opened the door for her.

"Thank you My king" She went to step inside as he called back to her,

"Asher, My name is Asher".  All she did was smile as she shut her door and lay on her bed.
