"It's Yeri, can we talk?"

Sitting across from his ex-girlfriend, Kuroo kept his eyes down. He didn't want to see his reoccurring nightmare playing in the eyes of the one who caused them. After all, infidelity is a mixture of emotions. In Kuroo's words:
"It's the ignorant bliss you feel as you walk down the hallway to your bedroom. It's the last peaceful breath you take before you open the door.
Lastly, it's the certain sting in your heart you get when you walk in on your girl with another man. It creeps into your heart and slowly breaks it apart, piece by piece, from the inside."
Because of that, Bokuto wondered why his best friend agreed to see Yeri again, and even now, Kuroo himself wondered that too.
"So how have you been, darling?" A sweet-like-candy voice asked.
Kuroo furrowed his brows and looked up at the beautiful girl across from him. That last word hurts ever so slightly whenever it rolls off her tongue.
"I've been just great," Kuroo said through gritted teeth. "Why are you here?"
Yeri sighed. "To simply put it, I'm bored. I want to see if anyone I knew in Japan had anything interesting going on in their average lives."
Of course she'd say that, Kuroo thought.
For as long as he'd known her, Yeri has always been perfect. She had goddess-like looks and pure talent, the same talent that got her the title of a K-pop idol. Kuroo met her while she was a trainee, and he supported every second of her journey. While she wasn't training, she and Kuroo spent all their time together. They tried out new exotic restaurants, got helplessly drunk at karaoke bars, and Yeri even taught Kuroo some Korean since he wanted to be able to sing along to her songs.
But whenever she debuted, newfound fame consumed her. She grew bored of her old life and craved every aspect of her new one. Along the way, she threw out everything that connected her to her past: family, friends, and even Kuroo.
She's what Oikawa likes to call a mythic bitch.
"What do you want, Yeri?" Kuroo asked harshly.
Yeri faked a sad look and placed her hands over her heart. "How rude! Is that any way to talk to an famous idol?"
"Idol or not, you're still a worthless cheater."
"Where did all of this confidence suddenly come from? What happened to the poor, broken-hearted boy I left seven months ago?" She sneered, leaning back in her chair.
Kuroo cleared his throat and pushed up his glasses. "That boy finally realized that it was your fault he was broken, not the other way around! He even found someone else who treats him he actually matters!
Yeri smiled and shook her head. "You'll never matter to anyone. When will you get that through your thick skull?"
"That's it! I'm leaving!" Kuroo got up from their table and headed out the door. Yeri grabbed his wrist to stop him from getting in his car. "What now? Let me go!"
Without hesitation, she kissed Kuroo and laughed. "I just forgot how good of a kisser you were. The guys on tour are never as good as you."
