Alexa's pov
"shall we have some food? i'm starving." i asked and Katrina nodded before dragging her bag to reach for her snacks.

as i was munching on my cookie , i heard Regan's voice again. i looked frantically but couldn't see her anywhere.

"Katrina , do you hear Regan?" i asked making Katrina look around in fear. "Alexa , you're just imagining things. Regan is no longer here." Katrina said. "i swear i heard her!" i insisted.

"Alexa! listen to me please! it's really just you! i don't hear Regan anywhere!" Katrina yelled. "are you mad at me right now?" i asked with hurt feelings.

"i'm trying to knock some sense into you Alexa , i don't want you to die like Regan." Katrina said. "i won't die! i'm perfectly fine."

"i didn't say you'll die Alexa!" Katrina said. i stood up angry at how Katrina was talking to me. "i had enough , i'm gonna walk around till Kuanlin and Hayoon wakes up."

"Alexa no!" Katrina went after me but i ran down the dark hallways. something tells me i need to find Regan.

i swear i saw her asking for help before Kuanlin pushed me away.

"Alexa!" my name was called out again. this time it isn't Katrina's voice , it was Regan's. i turned around and saw Regan. she wasn't bloody and didn't have any wounds on her. she was in one while piece.

"Regan! wait for me!" i ran towards her. Regan surprisingly ran away from me. why would she do that?

"Regan it's me Alexa! don't run away from me!" i yelled but Regan didn't stop. i didn't stop too. i was determined to show the rest that Regan is still alive.

1st Prince's pov
yes , that's right. chase after your imaginary friend...

and fall for your death.

Alexa's pov
"Reg- AHHH!" in the midst of my chasing , i fell into an endless hole which was in the middle of the dark hallways. there was a huge crack in the middle and i didn't see it.

Katrina's pov
"Alexa? Alexa where are you? i'm sorry for what i said. i didn't mean to offend you. please tell me you're alright.."

as i shone my torchlight down a dark hallway , i saw a huge black hole in the middle of nowhere. walking towards it , i saw a shiny thing next to the hole.

that's..Alexa's bracelet.

i gulped and prayed before peeking into the hole. it was dark but i had my torchlight. once i shone down the hole , i gasped and tears started falling down my cheeks. "this is impossible.."

Alexa's lifeless body was there at the end of the hole , blood all over under her body. her eyes wide open as if she didn't die peacefully with blood all over her face. her elbows were in dislocated positions just like her knees.

it's so disturbing but this was something that was bound to happen after what happened to Regan. the royal family definitely wants us dead.

with tears still flowing down my cheeks , i made my way back to where Kuanlin and Hayoon were sleeping at.

Hayoon's pov
after a rough sleep , i got up from the sleeping bag i was in and saw that Kuanlin was still asleep. Katrina was there but Alexa?

"Katrina , did you have some food?" i asked. she faced me while sniffing and nodded a little. "what's wrong?" i asked crawling to her.

"Alexa..she's dead.." she sobbed. "what?" i asked in disbelief. "no way..how can it be? weren't you two together?" i asked and she nodded.

"we were , until she misunderstood me and ran away." she said while she continued crying "misunderstood?" i asked.

"she told me she heard Regan again and i told her that i don't want her to die like Regan did making her angry at me. she got up and ran away and i followed her all the way till this dark hallway where i saw a huge dark hole. when i look into that dark hole , she was down there. broken limbs and bloody floor..i can't get it out of my mind..i'm sorry Hayoon , i should have kept my eyes on her." Katrina continuously apologized.

"it's okay..it's not your fault.." i comforted her.

"but Hayoon , don't you think the royal family wants us dead? ever since we stepped foot in here , strange things started happening and two of our friends already died." Katrina's words had me thinking.
