Thomas Castleberry knew that he was going to die. He did not want to die. There was so much more that he wanted to do with his life. So much more that he wanted to say to those he loved. What was he going to do? He had always heard the phrase "life is short", now he understood what that really meant.
Why was it, if there's danger to be found he would find it? even as a boy, Thomas seem ed to know where danger was because Thomas was all the time getting into trouble. OH how he wished that this was a dream. A dream yes that is what this was, a very very bad dream. But if this were a dream why didn't he wake up? Where was his escape button? Did someone change his way out? Why would anyone do that?Questions,so many questions. He must wake up. Where was his dream doctor, Doctor Chester, he must talk to him, maybe he knows what was going on maybe he could help. Thomas tried to yell for help but nothing came out, again and again Thomas tried to yell, again and again nothing came out. Thomas felt himself fading in and out of consciousness. There was nothing that he could do, except pray and try to hope that death would find him sooner than later for he does not want to suffer any more than he was already. Thomas wished that he had told his mother that morning before he left for work that he loved her. But he never gave her a second thought that morning, now he wished with all his heart that he had, he would not get a second chance to tell her how he really did love her despite their arguments.

As Thomas lay on the bed of the truck, he heard a noise and knew that the creature was coming back. Much to Thomases surprise the creature was no longer a beast but his dream doctor, doctor Chester. Thomas tried to yell once more but nothing came out and much to Thomases surprise the good doctor picked up Thomas and took him to what seem to be a basement. As Thomas looked around there seem to be all kinds of medical equipment in every corner of the room. The doctor laid Thomas on a cold table that chilled him to his very bones. As Thomas lay on the table, he heard the doctor say "I'm so sorry Thomas you were never supposed to survive the attack but now that you have i must nurse you back to health because now you will become what i loath to become the beast, Thomas passed out.
