it was 3pm when hanbin went to the school gym obviously only to watch his boyfriend, jung jaewon, practice with his bandmates.
hanbin's also into music, wrote a variety of songs but is diffident about it. he enjoys having a low profile, writing perplexed poems to covert its true meanings from whoever could read it.
it's actually all about him, jung jaewon.
a week from now, they'll be celebrating their 3rd anniversary.
he claps his hand together enthusiastically once theband have finished their last song. he slowly approached jaewon who's still having talks and exchanging laughs with his teammates.
"that's one hell of a ride. i think we're ready for saturday." jaewon was wiping his sweat off his face. that made hanbin hurriedly take the towel from jaewon and pat his boyfriend's face with it.
saturday? that's our 3rd anniversary. i hope he remembers. hanbin hopes even though it's impossible.
jaewon practicing abstain him from remembering all of their plans together. but that's okay with hanbin. jaewon's happiness is also his. it's actually jaewon's happiness that matters to him.
he doesn't know if he's just obsessed or too infatuated, as long as he's fine with it, no problems arising between them, everything's gonna be alright.
hedonist yet, a masochist.
"should we grab some snack?" hanbin asked, passing a bottle to jaewon.
jaewon stares at him, vapidly. "still have to write a new song to introduce on saturday." a laconic yet an obfuscate reply.
"butㅡ"
"hey, saturday's performance is one of the most important to me. i hope you do understand that. atleast do what is expected, hanbin."
oh.
hanbin just nodded, his heart was heavy. he hates being a lachrymose, he just couldn't stop his tears from forming.
"j-just be sure to go home and rest well. i'm gonna go see my family tonight." hanbin tried to smile but he just couldn't. i would need 17 muscles to smile, but now it seems like they melted.
he turns to walk out from the school gym. a call from jaewon froze him.
"hanbin." hanbin turns and saw jaewon picking up his notebooks. "we're cool, right?" even his question sounds monotonous.
hanbin bit the inside of his cheek and nodded. "of course." finally, 4 of his 17 muscles helped him stretched his lips.
as soon as he walked out the front door of the school gym, his tears started running down his face. he can't breathe, his heart's too broken to function.
he forgot. it's my birthday today.
