Like a lone petal she stood
Looking strong and brave
What the world didn't know
Was that she was failed
She kept the mask and walls
Waiting for the day she could escape
For she was tired of her mask
Where melancholy prevailed
Gone were the days she laughed
Eyes full of joy
If anyone looked now
All they would see
Were masked eyes
Her heart was beating
Beating to pump blood
But was she really living
Or was she just just alive
Like a robot she moved
Showed emotions none
Her only mission
Was to find someone
Someone to take her pain away
Bring her joyful days back
For now she was tired
Tired of being strong
Didn't know how long she would last
How long she could keep up
She was tired of her mask
Tired of her life
Wanted to end her loneliness
The day was close
She told herself
Very close indeed
The day she ended it all
To be free
