When Hothok and Ituor got inside their home, Ituor contacted Sam.

She replied, "I contacted the Dark-side. It has no malice towards us Jedi Knights. It has quieted many troubles to get our attention and wants to talk to us. When I suggested the possible dangers of Palpatine attacking us, the machine assured me, he won't know a thing."

Ituor asked, "Did you tell it, Amanda wanted to talk?"

Because of the holographic projection, Ituor saw her smile, "Believe it or not, he knew she would."

Ituor frowned.

Sam reassured him, "there is no danger for Amanda or anyone. Mom, Nomi, and I will be with her, but I sensed no danger."

Ituor gave an enormous sigh of relief, "So far so good." He got to the point of contacting her.

"To tell you the truth, I've been thinking the same thing." She closed her eyes. After opening them she said, "I feel something very strong. Not sure what it could be."

Hothok stated, "There's only one thing to do."

Sam nodded, "Go in time, and find out what happened to Daniel's parents."

Ituor asked, "What do you think happened to them?"

"If Palpatine was after Daniel, he did it very weakly."

Hothok replied, "That's why I think something has been protecting him, and something is more powerful than you."

"What I just felt. I believe you. If it is Plagueis that is a stronger foe, then there has to be something as strong to protect Daniel. What I have been through with Palpatine, I don't think his parents' death was by a diabolical reason."

Hothok asked, "Can you explain to me how Daniel can read all the Jedi artifacts without the use of the Force?"

"I thought it was because of me being with SG1. I've given a lot to everyone on Earth without knowing it."

"Girlfriend, this is something much different. I wish you Earthlings will stop making something up because of your lack of understanding. What do you know about Daniel's past?"

"Not all that much. I know his parents were killed because of an accident."

"If I knew that my parents were killed by a Sith, I wouldn't want to be a Jedi or have anything to do with them."

"Point taken. Since no battle is going on, I can talk to Brandon about him. He can go back in time to find out what happened before and after his parents were killed."

Ituor stated, "Have him be very careful. It surprised me that he wasn't attacked when he was training you when you were a teenager. If I were the Sith Lord, I would do everything to stop you from being trained."

"I don't think he will face any dangers, but I will tell him just the same, Sam out."

As she was walking to Brandon's location, she thought about the time he was with her. "What wonderful years I had. How much I yearn to call him, Master." When she arrived, she stood there watching him. "It has been four wonderful years in training him. What a paradox. We're both Masters and Apprentices of each other."

It was not long until he realized she was near. With a smile, he said, "Hello, Master. What can I do for you?"

She explained it all to him.

"Interesting! What does it have to do with our current plight?"

"It could have everything to do with it."

"Should we talk to Daniel, first?"

"No time. He and his team of Jedi Knights are off-world. If we wait, it might be too late." Actually, he was back, but she thought it would be easier not to talk to him until later. Getting this knowledge firsthand was too important. If he knew something, then everyone would have known already. "Whatever is protecting Daniel, might have blocked his memories... for his protection. Talking to him wouldn't achieve much if anything, right now."
