Chloe had wanted to be an English teacher all her life. Getting this job was like a dream come true. The large salary was also a bonus because it helped look after her daughter. Chloe had a daughter when she was 22 with her now ex boyfriend Jack. The girl is now 6 months old and spends her week with Chloe and some weekends with Jack. The two adults have a civil relationship, just so it wasn't awkward when they did things together with their daughter, Hailee. Hailee was a spitting image of Chloe, with her gorgeous red hair, and bright blue eyes. They were obviously mother and daughter.
Chloe had always had a passion for English. She exceeded her teachers expectations in high school, and was offered a full scholarship for Barden University's English degree. She graduated with ease and got a job as soon as she finished college. Here at Barden High was her first teaching job, and she couldn't be more excited.
Whilst she was at college, her mother, Sarah, would look after Hailee for her. And during the night when Chloe was at her "other job" which she had to support Hailee, her best friend Aubrey would look after her. Chloe didn't like her night job, but she needed to do it just so she could afford to pay rent every week. At night, Chloe would go to the strip club, Exotica, and work her shift as a stripper/lap dancer/ pole dancer. She wasn't proud of having to do it; but it was a quick and easy way of earning money.
Chloe's family was a typical American family. She had two brothers, and another sister, her dad and mother were still together. She was the youngest of the Beale children, and the only single one too. All the others were already married and had at least a child each. She was always close with her oldest brother, James, he would protect her no matter what.
Throughout high school, Chloe was bullied. She was bullied for being bisexual, an English nerd and for being ginger. It led to her having an eating disorder, but she got better by the time she started college. Now she was out and proud, living her life to the fullest.
Hailee and Chloe lived together in a 2 bedroom apartment in Georgia. It was a small apartment but the two were happy. Hailee would spend most nights with Aubrey when Chloe went to her second job, but Chloe didn't leave until late at night when Hailee was asleep.
(AN: I know this is a short chapter, but I just wanted to do a little backstory for Beca and Chloe)
