"What are you guys gonna perform tomorrow ?"

The five of us turn to see Seungcheol hyung holding a plastic of sodas and chips.

"We decided to sing After School sunbaenim's Because of You." Jisoo hyung answered.

He held out the plastic which Seungkwan immediately take and handed to each of us.

"Hmm, you guys will do great." Seungcheol said, smiling.

"Thanks, hyung~" we cheered.

"I gotta go! We still need to practice, good luck~"

"Good luck!"

Jeonghan hyung let out a sigh and slumped himself on the sofa.

"I'm getting nervous now."

"Hyung, it's just the beginning. Besides, we are all together! We can do this." I said.

"We'll get through this and debut." Jihoon hyung said and held out his hand.

"Vocal unit..."

We did the same and shouted together.

"Fighting!"

I put my hands on my chest as I sang the lines, feeling the music.

This is the start of us, showing our talents through the crowds and we must not get nervous.

The crowd cheered after our performances which makes my heart flattered.

"Nice, guys! You did well~" the others praised.

We watched the rest of the members' performance until the time for the judges to tell their comments to us came.

"You all guys did a very good job." Says Raina sunbaenim.

"I enjoyed your performances but for vocal unit, because your song uses much harmonization I didn't get the chance to distinguish your voice colors." Jessie sunbaenim started.

"Dokyeom-shii, you are main vocal right?" She asked which I answered with a nod.

"I see, somehow you didn't shine in this song. But that doesn't mean you didn't do well, you did but not enough."

...

Later that night, her words still can't get out of my mind.

A knock snapped me out of my thoughts and when I looked up, it's Seungkwan.

"Hyung..." he called.

I motioned him to come so he sat beside me and gave me a hug, a tight one.

"I'm sorry..."

"Why?"

"I feel like, I'm stealing the spotlight of being main vocal..."

"You are not, don't worry..."

"Still, sorry..."

"Kwan, it's alright. I'll take that as a motivation to improve more. I'm sad, yes but not mad..."

I ensured him with a smile and by hugging him back.
