TW!

KATYA POV:

I woke up and opened my eyes slowly trying to adjust to the darkness. As I looked around I caught a glimpse of Trixie's old pink alarm clock. It was only 1 am I rolled my eyes at myself then stretched getting ready to curl back into Trixie when I heard a faint noise. I halted my movements and listened again straining my ears.
" why the fuck would you invite that dyke back into this home. Huh she was about to leave! What do you think she is gunna save you? Or do you think you can save her?." I heard Dane say.

I got out of bed as stealthy as I could and tiptoed over to the door pressing my ear against it.

" I-I don't know Dane I just didn't want her to leave again last time she left she didn't come back for five years." Val sobbed.

" you're so fucking dumb sometimes my god, get out of my face before I hit you for real." Dane spat. I heard a muffled thump against the wall and assumed he had pushed her.

" no wait Dane please-." Val pleaded from the floor. It was silent, only the sound of Danes heavy footsteps heading to Val and a small whimper from her could be heard.

" I told you I would hit you for real this time you stupid bitch." His footsteps got closer. I could hear Val crying now and that was it.

I whipped the door open and stepped out into the hallway. I was heading for the stairs when Judy's door opened and she looked at me shaking her head.

" you'll only make it worse for her, trust me I've tried." She whispered stepping out of her room and into the hallway closing her door softly behind herself. I followed her as she went back to Trixie's room and opened the door. She crawled into the bed and rolled herself under the covers. I walked into the room and shut the door turning on a lamp then going to sit at the edge of the bed.

" how long has this been happening Judy?"

" 3 years, Dane was good for awhile for 2 years after Trixie left then one day he just...wasn't. I heard them yelling down stairs and tried to stop him but as soon as I left he just hit her harder." She whispered tears welling in her eyes.

" why don't you just call the police?" I question watching Trixie to make sure I wasn't waking her up.

" once Trixie left Dane cut the landline and we can barley afford our electricity bill let alone a phone bill too."

" tomorrow Trixie and I are heading into town you're going to come with us and I'm getting you a phone the payments are all on me." I said patting her leg.

" what no I can't accept that it's to much." She protested sitting up the thin comforter sliding off her shoulders.

" I'm rich dear this is cents to me trust me." I assured. She nodded slowly and whispered a small thank you.

" Katyaaaa." Trixie groaned rolling over. She opened her eyes and saw Judy instead of me making her jump up and fumble out of bed.

" Sorry Trixie I didn't mean to scare you it's just mom and dad are yelling again and I got scared and Katya was there so I came to your bed just like when we were little." Judy explained quickly.

" o-okay." She breathed leaning against the wall trying to catch her breath. I watched as she started heaving and knew she was about to have a panic attack.

" Judy dear go back to bed I'll see you in the morning yeah?" I ushered Judy out of the stuffy bedroom.

" hey Trix it's okay shh its okay just breathe she didn't mean to scare you okay everything is fine." I cooed slowly walking over to her.
