Late Nights

The following day, all Ashton could think about was Luke. Luke. Luke. Luke. After just the short time Ashton had spent with the interesting boy, Ashton couldn't help himself but want to spend more time with Luke. He also wanted to find out about Luke's friend, Michael, after Luke had told him that Michael was in the hospital but he wouldn't talk about it, it left Ashton wondering what was wrong with Michael.
Ashton sighed, he had two hours left of his six hour shift at the coffee shop he worked in. He didn't exactly like making coffee and little cakes, but it certainly wasn't the worst job. Besides, he had to earn some money to support his family, since his mum couldn't really do that anymore. Ashton looked up when he heard the bell on the foot that signalled someone had entered the shop, he smiled wide when he saw a familiar face walk towards the counter, it was Luke.
"Ashton! Hi." Luke beamed, waving at Ashton.
Ashton's dimples became more prominent as he smiled wide and waved back, "What can I get for you?"
"Just a take out coffee."
Ashton nods, working on making Luke's coffee. It doesn't take him long and when he's finished, he hands it to Luke.
"It's on me.." Ashton smiles.
"Oh you don't have to." Luke protested, and Ashton just shook is head, laughing slightly, "Its fine really Luke."
"Thanks I guess, oh and do you want to come around again tonight? We can order pizza and watch movies..."
"Sure, I'll be there around 8 tonight if that's okay." Ashton lets a smile tug at his lips. Luke smiled nodding, "I'll see you then."
Luke leaves the store and Ashton can't help but feel slightly disheartened by the fact Luke didn't stay for a little while longer. He mentally kicks himself for being so stupid, because he will be seeing Luke again tonight.
Finally 3 o'clock rolled around and Ashton's shift was over. He hung up his apron then left. He had to pick up Lauren and Harry from school, he always did, the two energetic kids climbed into the car, rambling about their day. Ashton smiles, driving them home.
At home, Ashton made them both a snack, helping them with their homework, that's how it went every afternoon.
"But Ashton, I don't like maths, don't make me do my homework. Pleasssse." Harry whined, pouting at his older brother.
"Come on Harry, it's easy."
Sometimes Ashton thought he was a bit like a father to his siblings, he had been ever since their real dad had left, and even more so when his mum got sick and had to stay in hospital.
Ashton made Mac 'n Cheese for dinner, serving some for his Gran, brother and sister. He decided he wasn't all to hungry and went upstairs to shower and change before going to Luke's. It was fair to say Ashton was excited, he loved being with Luke, and he couldn't help but find himself smiling when Luke was with him, even if they'd only just met yesterday Ashton could tell they'd be good friends.

Ashton arrived at Luke's house, he knocked on the door, and like the previous night, the door swung open right after he had knocked.
"Hey Ash!" Luke grinned, leading Ashton over to the couch.
"Hi."
"So I was thinking we could watch some movies tonight and we can order pizza and eat popcorn while we cuddle on the couch together!" Luke rambled.
Ashton laughs, "Luke, chill, we can do whatever you want okay."
"Even then cuddling?"
"Yeah, even the cuddling."
Luke nods excitedly, he picks up the phone, ordering a cheese pizza for them to share.
"Wait! Oh my god I didn't even ask you if you liked cheese pizza! You do like cheese pizza right?!" Luke starts his rambling again.
"Luke, it's okay, I like cheese pizza." Ashton chuckles, Luke lets out a sigh of relief.
The pizza came not long after and the two boys sat on the couch, eating the cheese pizza. When they had finished, Luke put on a movie, and brought in the popcorn, Ashton smiled when Luke pulled him in for a cuddle, he could feel how warm Luke's body was, and they stayed like that until they both fell asleep around midnight.
At 5 o'clock the next morning, Ashton woke up on the couch in Luke lounge and he was slightly confused. He rubbed his eyes a few times, before sitting up in panic.
"Shit shit shit." He mumbled carefully pulling himself from Luke's arms. Ashton knew he couldn't just leave Luke with out thanking him, but he didn't want so wake the sleeping boy up. So he was pleased when he found a sticky note and a pen,
Luke,
Thanks for having me over again, it was fun, text me later? 0458474010

He stuck the sticky note to Luke's head, in hope that Luke will see it and read it when he wakes up.

When Ashton arrives home his Grandma is sitting at the kitchen table waiting for him.
"Ashton! My god where on earth have you been?"
"Sorry Gran, I was at a friends, guess I feel asleep there."
She rolls her eyes as Ashton goes upstairs getting ready for another boring day at work.

a/n; short again lmao whoops, I know it's boring but it's only the second chapter and I don't want to rush into things. But I promise you will find out what's up with Michael in one of the next chapters, so there will be a bit of drama there..
