Part 6

Many days later.

Unfortunately it's time for a feast. Everyone is here. My family. Dylan, my cousin Amry, My mother, my father, my 6 sisters, my 4 brothers, including Dylan. We converse, about our pasts, all the horrible deeds we did.

"You know, I wished you had told me why we died, instead of keeping it a secret for so long."

"I'm sorry, Dear, I had to. It was the only way to keep your poor, innocent soul. But that's not the only reason why."

"What do you mean 'that not the only reason why', what else didn't you tell me?"

"I don't think I should be the one to tell you, Amber."

"Why not?"

"Because I wasn't the one who saved your life."

I pause with a breath. "What?"

"If you see a soul in your dreams, you're alive."

"Then that means-"

A clinking noise pounds my ears. "Children, Family, listen up. My dear 5 year old daughter got a bit confused on the whole life and death thing we have going on here, so let me explain." my mother announces.

"We can sometimes get lost, go crazy, lose ourselves, down here in the underworld," my mother reminds us, as she holds my Grandmother's hand. "But we must, we must remember, that it was a choice." she says making eye contact with each and every one of us. "We decided to go against the norm. We're going to always relive those tragic moments. The moments that define us."

"But we must also understand the consequences of our actions. We killed some Freaklings', which was illegal and we all ended up down here for that. Sure, Mom, you secretly killed my husband because of him being apart of the Norwardlen government. And sure, Mom I murdered your grandchildren because they ended up despising me for making them "different". Sure, Dylan couldn't take life anymore and so went off into the dangerous woods and ended it, and you tried to help him Amber. And that was very sweet of you to do. And you, Amry," she says pointing over to my cousin with the only hot pink skin around here. "You helped her find our Dylan, and you got killed by the Freaklings' for being one of the 'weak' elves that couldn't defend themselves. No one should ever be judged for who they are, and what they do." she implies, with a smirk. "But do know this children," she points with a finger floating in the air.

"There are going to always be lies my children. Just search, very deeply, for the truth."

I have found the truth, my actual life beyond this world. I can't trust anyone, especially when the truth comes with a lot of lies and protection.
