Chapter 9

Lily's P.O.V

everyone had something to do today except for me so what do I do when I'm not socialising or scrolling through tumblr?

I get creative.

I usually painted something or sketched out tattoo designs but today I felt like doing something different.

My hair is just a perfect platinum blonde. And it's the sort of hair you need to dye it bright neon colours. So that's what I'm going to do.

I secretly brought a couple of different colours from the store and hid them at the back of the cupboard so Edie couldn't find it. She would want to talk me through every step but I already knew how to dye hair it's just that I never told anyone.

I pulled put vibrant red, orange and yellow boxes of colour and quickly searched up a picture of Hayley Williams.

She is one of my favourite alternative female singers of all time. I scanned through heaps of pictures but the colours just wouldn't look right with my long, non-layered, pin straight style hair but I had a backup plan.

I put back the orange and yellow dyes and replaced them with a deep black. They style I was going for was along the lines of Ashley Costello from the band New Years Day.

Her hair was half red and half black and I like the way it looks so I set up my hair in two sections and began dying my hair.

After about an hour of dying, washing, drying and straightening my hair, I was happy with the end result. It looked amazing.

I took a picture of my new hair and sent it to Edie and waited for a response. She replied straight away with:

'How. When. It's different. But amazing! Have you shown Dan?'

I laughed at this and replied.

'I'm texting going over to his now. Chris finished his video early, I'll text you later.' I sent it and slipped my phone into my pocket.

I called Dan about ten minutes ago to ask if I could come over but I never said what for so this should be a bit of a shock for him.

I threw my Pikachu bag over my shoulder with my wallet, phone and keys inside and headed over to dan and phils flat.

I knocked on the door and was greeted by a shocked Crabstickz.

"Hey Chris." I said as if nothing was wrong. He just looked at my hair still with a shocked expression.

"Nice hair." He said and let me into the house.

"Thanks, I just did it then." I said and walked I into the living room to see phil on his laptop, probably editing a video.

"Woah, Lily. Nice hair" he said and I laughed.

"That what chris said but than-" I was cut off by a shirtless Dan.

"When is Li-" he said obviously oblivious to the fact I was standing here until he saw me.

"You look like and anime chick." He said and I blushed.

"You also look like Ashley Costello" he said and I looked at him shocked.

"I didn't know you knew who they were?" I said and he chuckled.

"I think your forgetting that phil and I have a part time job a radio one so that's how I know New Year's Day." He said and I breathed out because I forgot he worked there.

"It suits you very well." Dan said as he pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead.

"Thank you." I said and returned the hug.

"I really only wants to come over to show you my hair, other than that I was going to be doing a painting so I'll catch you guys later, yeah?" I said and they nodded but Dan just looked sad.

"You can come over whenever you want just not within the next three hours otherwise I might accidentally stab you will a pain brush." I said and shrugged making his eyes go wide with fear but in a joking way.

"Can I come round for dinner? Mexican maybe?" He said and I smiled at is kind suggestion.

"Sure thing." I said and with that I left the flat and started my newest masterpiece.
