Chapter 10

Hey guys,

I'm not sure how long this story will go on for but I have run out ideas so there will maybe only one chapter left. I'm sorry if you were enjoying this story but I just can't find the motivation to write this story anymore. This chapter is extremely short but the next one switches between a couple of point of views and it will be the very last one. And maybe an epilogue but I'm not sure. As of right now there won't be and epilogue or a sequal.

*1 year later*

Edie's P.O.V

"what the hell?!" I screamed when I saw the eviction notice on my door. Pj came rushing to my side and read the note and looked at me worriedly.

"We have been so behind on rent lately and now I guess we are too behind." I said with a sigh of frustration.

"Where are you going to go?" Pj asked me and I just shrugged. "I don't know peej but Lily will not be happy about this." I said.

"She won't want to leave Dan and I won't want to leave you." I said and he pulled me into a tight embrace.

"I think you should tell Lily and Dan together, that way, they can hear the news together." He said and I nodded with a tear falling from my eye.

We walked over to the all too familiar Dan and phil flat and knocked on the door.

A very happy phil answered the door and ushered is to the living room once he noticed me crying.

"What happened Edie?!" Lily said as she ran over to my side and wiped the tears from my eyes.

Peej handed her the eviction notice and she screamed. She has been kind of upset and depressed lately and I think this just made it worse.

"I-I can't do this." She stuttered, handing me back the paper and ran out of the flat. I was going to run after her but knowing how she can be when she is upset it is best to keep a distance.

"Why did Lily just leave?" Dan questioned, walking into the living room and replacing Lily's spot next to me.

"This" I said and handed him the notice. He had the same expression Lily had but his was more sad than angered like Lily was.

"We have our old place back in Australia reserved for if this ever happened and when we first came here we would be happy to move back but now that we have met you guys it's become really difficult." I said and they nodded with understanding.

Phil made me some tea and I just sat with peej, Dan and Phil until I had calmed down.

It has been about two hours since Lily ran off but she is probably just listening to music like she always does. Hopefully two hours was enough to calm her down because Dan was going over there now.

He got up to leave when he got a text message we knew was from Lily because of the legend of Zelda text tone.

At first he smiled but when he swiped his screen his face drained of all its original colour and he stumbled back onto the couch.

"D-Dan. What's going on?" I said with panic and he showed me the text.

"I can't do this anymore. And by 'this' I don't mean you and I. I mean life itself, I just can't do it. I'm sorry Dan, please forget about me and move on. You will always be in my heart and I hope I will be somewhere in yours but I need you to live your life without me to weigh you down. I love you, Daniel James Howell. Love, Lily"

I read the text aloud so everyone could hear and we all had the same expression as Dan had when he read it.

"Oh no. I thought this side of Lily had been fixed but I thought wrong. She has fallen back into a depression and who knows what she will do" I said and Dan looked like a lost puppy.

He closed his phone, put it in his pocket and just like Lily, he was out the door and at our door. He knocked first but then decided against it and just opened the door. It was unlocked which is a bad sign.

He darted in and out of all the rooms before stopping longer at her door. The rest of us rushed to his side and walke ding into the room hoping to find Lily listening to music but to no such luck, all we saw were five envelopes with names on the front. our names.

We picked up the ones with our names on them and we took turns reading them outloud.

"S-She can't be d-dead" dan stuttered and started crying uncontrollably.

"Wait, she barely ever spells anything wrong but look at you letters, she has spelt some of the words wrong. Find the wrong letter in the words and they spell out a word. She saw this in series of unfortunate events once and I know she left us a clue as to where she is." I said really fast.

Everyone quickly scanned their letters and found their words.

Chris=high

Phil=low

Dan=crash

Peej=carry

Me=away

The clearing on the cliff at the beach. I just hope we aren't too late.
