You felt yourself being moved, but you didn't have the energy to open your eyes or even try to make out what they were saying. Maybe someone was trying to get your attention. If they were, they clearly weren't speaking your language. Then someone said, "Are you conscious? Human girl, open your eyes."
You followed the command, and you willed your eyes to open, the harsh light making you wince. Glancing around your current location, you deducted that you were in a hospital or clinic if some sort. Your eyes fell on the one who asked you to open your eyes. Her ears were pointed, her eyebrows at an almost ridiculous angle, and her hair was just as dark as her eyes.
"She awakens." She said, already starting to leave, "Now follow me. We must bring you to the council to discuss how you will be returned to your home planet."
Thinking this was too much fro your brain to process, especially after just regaining consciousness, you remained rigid.
"I have no home planet."
"The council will discuss this further." She replied, not a drop of sympathy in her voice.
You nodded and walked close behind her, your legs shaking the entire way. What were you to say? You silently prepared a speech in your head as to describe your current situation. You were familiar with the Vulcan culture and their traditions of being logic based beings that frowned upon showing emotion. There you stood in front of the Vulcan Council, embracing the cold states being thrown your way.
"What is your name, human? State your business for being on Vulcan." One said.
"My name is Y/N L/N. I came to escape my home planet."
"Why would you need to escape?"
"Members of the Vulcan Council, it is apparent that you haven't heard. My planet has been destroyed."
Silence fell upon the room. The cold stares you received increased exponentially.
"Seeing as there are few planets in this solar system that are habitable, you will stay here. It would be only logical to place you with the only other human on this planet. Amanda Grayson, please step forward."
A human woman stepped out of the crowd. She placed her hands on your shoulders and led you away when everyone was dismissed.
"Ma'am, I'm sorry for being a burden to you."
"Y/N, you are by no means a burden. You didn't ask for this. Now let's bring you to your new home."
The walk was silent until you reached the door.
"You should know that I'm married and have a son just a little older than you. His name is Spock."
