A Broken Angel

Chapter 1 ~ New school

     As the sun shone brightly through the bedroom window, Aurora tiredly rolls out of her bed. Realizing it was her first day at a brand new high school, she went into the bathroom, did her normal routine then rushed back into her room to get dressed. Putting on her black veil brides black t-shirt, black skinny jeans, black high top converses with white socks, and her black vans jacket; she put on her black tattoo choker and a dog tag necklace along with four music band rubber bracelets on each arm then she straightens her black hair so her bangs cover one eye and put on her white slouchy beanie. After getting dressed, Aurora starts checking her backpack to make sure she has everything she needs for school. She grabs her phone and puts it in her Jean pocket then grabbing her ipod touch, she puts one of her earbuds in then quickly choosing from her playlist of different songs then she puts it in her jacket pocket. After Aurora does that, she zips her backpack up and then heads downstairs with her backpack hanging off one shoulder.

     Her mom was in the kitchen making breakfast as Aurora entered. "Good morning sweetheart!, her mom said with a smile on her face. Aurora took a seat at the dining table next to her sister, Paige, mumbling tiredly, "Morning..." She looked at her little sister who was beaming with excitement about her first day at a new school too, wearing a pink dress with a panda bear on the front and her hair nicely done up in pigtails with a little pink bow on each side, white tights, and pink low top converses. Her mom gave each of them a plate with a pancake.

     Paige ate all of her breakfast happily then she and their mom left the house after her mom put Paige's plate in the sink. After pushing the pancake around for a while, Aurora just dumped it into the garbage wrapped in a paper towel, then she put her plate in the sink as well. Looking at the clock, Aurora grabbed her keys to the house, then grabbed her backpack, and headed out the front door carrying her water bottle. She started fast walking to the bus stop to avoid missing the bus. Aurora arrived at the bus stop just a few minutes before the bus pulled up.

     The bus smelt like farts and gym socks as Aurora hopped on. She examined the faces of the fellow students as she passed them. In the middle of the walkway, a girl trips Aurora, making her fall to the floor, The girl laughs then says,"Oh, looks like we have a clumsy one." Almost the whole bus filled with laughter as Aurora got up and continued to walk down the walkway. She finally reached the back of the bus, she sat down and then scoots close to the window, staying silent.

     The bus passes by trees and buildings before picking up two students at another bus stop. One of them sat in the other window seat in the back of the bus. Aurora didn't pay much attention, she blasted her music in both of her ears and fell asleep. The bus ride was peaceful from there on. It made it a little easier for Aurora to take a small nap.

     Aurora was awoken by a sudden jolt of the bus as her earbuds fell out. She looked out her bus window and saw the very big and wide blue building. The front entrance had a brick archway and on the top, above the front doors, in big black bold letters was the name of the high school, "FLOWERGROVE HIGH SCHOOL." As the bus stopped at the drop off zone, Aurora put her ear buds back in and watched as students got off before her. When there was about four kids on the bus, Aurora slowly stood up and walked down the bus aisle, making her way to the front.

     As Aurora made her way down the stairs of the bus, she trips and falls on her hands and knees on the concrete. Everyone that was outside laughed. "What a klutz!", someone shouted. Aurora clenched her fists but then releases them and slowly got up. She dusts herself off and walks passed the fellow students, making her way to the office.

     Aurora entered the front office and walks up to the desk. "Excuse me, I'm new here and I was wondering if I could have my class schedule please?", she says. The desk lady nods, smiles warmly and says, "I just need your name hun." Aurora smiles a little bit and exclaims, "Aurora Winters is my name." The lady searches for her name, prints the schedule, and hands the paper to her, then says, "Here you are honey, your locker number is at the bottom." Aurora smiles and politely says, "Thank you miss, have a nice day."

     Aurora exits the office into the hallway. She wanders the hall, admiring everything. Aurora finds her locker and then unlocks it, putting her textbooks in her locker. After she finished putting things in her locker, Aurora locks it and then starts walking down the hall, looking for her first class. She wasn't really paying attention where she was walking because suddenly.. BAM!
