I walked into the backstage area and took a look around. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. All I saw was empty costumes and heads, none of which were golden.
I then realized the source of the noise: one of the racks was knocked over. It looked like it was just too heavy.
I was upset and worried. There wasn't a Golden Freddy costume anywhere in here! If it was even here, where would it be?!
I then sighed and gave up. Maybe I'd have to wait another night to find something of importance. I walked out of the backstage area and into the dining room to head back to the office.
That's when I heard the moaning.
I paused when I heard it. I couldn't tell where it came from, but it was definitely close, maybe a few rooms down the hallway. I realized the best way to figure out for sure was the cameras.
I quickly ran down the hallway and into my office. When I sat down, I instantly pulled open the screen. I flipped through them all, looking for any sign of the source of the moaning.
None of the camera views showed anything out of the ordinary. But one camera came off as odd: the kitchen. Not because the view was out, but because I heard a strange sound come from there! It sounded like moaning, but I couldn't be sure...
What was going on?
Chiming ensued. I looked at the clock. It was 6 am already! Time somehow passed really quickly.
Almost on cue, I heard the front door open.
"Mr. Schmidt?"
It was the manager.
"Yes?" I replied.
"Everything okay?"
"Um... kinda."
"Kinda?"
"I... heard a noise coming from the kitchen."
"Oh, I forgot to tell you," she said as she appeared in the doorway with a smile. "The ovens are pretty old; they get a little creaky sometimes."
"Oh?"
"Yep! Sorry, I should've told you."
"No, it's fine! Just doing my job and reporting anything suspicious."
"Glad to hear it!"
I then left the office and the restaurant altogether. When I got into my car, I stopped. I didn't know where to go now! It's not like I could just go home!
Maybe there was a hotel I could spend the day at. There had to be one somewhere.
I didn't totally believe the whole oven crap. I mean, it was possible, but that noise didn't sound like a machine. It sounded human.
But there was no way there was anything wrong with this place. No way...
