Something that Hagrid should not have said

I'm sitting in my favorite place in the courtyard, by the fountain. I look to the castle and I see Harry walking towards me. I wave at him, he waves back. Harry sits down next to me. 'Draco, do you want to visit Hagrid with me, Hermoine and Ron?' he asks. I think for a moment.

'I don't know, Harry...' I say then. Harry looks at me. 'It'll be fun,' he says. 'To talk to the filthy Half-Giant?' I ask. I know that that wasn't really kind to say. "Why did you say that, Draco. You're so stupid", I say to myself.

I see Harry thinking about what to say. He doesn't give up soon. I smile softly. It's cute that he really wants to have me with it. 'If you come with us, we'll get a chance to get to know each other better... and maybe you can change your mind about Hagrid', Harry says.

I sigh. 'Alright then,' I say. 'Come on then! Hermoine and Ron are waiting!' Harry says and he pulls me up.

Hermoine and Ron are indeed waiting. I see Ron sighing when he sees me. 'I told you that he'd come!' Harry says. The four of us walk through the castle, through the two big gates, and walk to the Forbidden Forest, where Hagrid's hut is.

We arrive at Hagrid's hut. Harry knocks but doesn't get an answer. 'Harry, are you sure he's expecting us?' Ron asks. Harry nods. 'Yeah, he sent me an owl...' he mutters.

Then the door opens and Hagrid stands in the doorway. 'Harry! Ron! Hermoine!' he says happily. 'Hagrid, I hope you don't mind that I invited another friend too,' Harry says.

Then Hagrid notices me. He only nods at me, as a greeting. I nod back at him. 'Of... of course not, Harry,' he says. I can see that he doesn't mean that. Hermoine and Ron walk inside and sit down in a chair, which is big enough for both of them. Harry stands in the doorway and waves at me. 'I don't know, Harry...' I say. 'Draco, you promised. Please?' Harry says. I can't say no to those eyes. That's just impossible.

I sigh. 'Alright then,' I say and I follow Harry inside. We sit down on a bench. Hagrid takes five big mugs from the kitchen counter and fills them with his self-made tea. He also baked muffins, which are almost unbreakable.

'We had our first Quidditch match today,' Harry says, with his mouth full of muffin. 'I saw ya. You acted great out there', Hagrid says. 'Thanks,' Harry says. I look through the hut. It's big but cozy. My gaze rests on a book about Magical Creatures. 'You like Magical Creatures, Hagrid?' I ask. 'Do ya?' Hagrid asks. I nod. 'What's ya favorite?' I think for a moment.

'Nifflers,' I say then. 'Ahhh, the so-called "Golddigger", Hagrid says. 'Why is it called like that?' Ron asks. 'Good question, Ron. If I were a teacher at Hogwarts, I'd give Gryffindor five points for your curiosity,' Hagrid says.

He pours in more tea. 'The Niffler is called "Golddigger" because they love everything that sparkles, and in particular gold and silver,' Hagrid explains. 'Can they also find some kind of stones?' Hermoine asks. 'As a matter of fact, they can. Why?' Hagrid asks.

Harry takes a gulp of his tea. I look at him. His face almost disappears in the big mug. I smile. When he puts his mug back on the table, our shoulders touch. Even though we hugged yesterday, it's still awkward. I realize that we never talked about it.

'I read a book about all kinds of stone, just to learn something new. There I read about rare stones,' Hermoine says. Hagrid thinks for a moment.

'You mean a stone like a Philosopher's Stone? Hmm... I shouldn't have said that...' Hagrid says. 'I've heard about that! My parents talked about that once,' I say. 'What is that?' Harry asks. 'The Philosopher's Stone is a rare stone which gives you an immortal life,' Hagrid says.

'I also shouldn't have said that,' he adds. 'An immortal life, how's that even possible?' I ask. Hagrid shrugs his shoulders. 'I only know that it's rare and that Dumbledore and Flamel made it. I dunno where it is- I shouldn't have said that either...'
