Having reached the bottom of the stairs, Yeonjun let me down gently."Thank you," I muttered as my hand slid off his neck.
He nodded briefly, and looked away.
"My turn, I guess?" Soobin asked as he looked at me.
"Hehe!" I chuckled nervously, grinning at him.
"Get on," Soobin said as he turned around and bent down before me.
"Are you sure?" I asked him, as I laid a hand on his shoulder.
"Of course I am," Soobin reassured me. "When our heights are compared, you're clearly as light as a feather to me,"
"Soobin, again," I sighed. "I'm fat,"
"Shut up and get on, Princess," he snapped at me, chuckling. "Yeonjun's not the only strong guy around here!" He said, smiling at him.
Looking back at him, Yeonjun smirked and looked away.
Wow... chemistry...
"Fine! Fine!!" I gave in, as I wrapped my arms around Soobin's neck and jumped on his back. He grabbed my legs and stood up.
"Argh! Hana! My back!" Soobin screamed and let go of one of my legs.
"What!? Oh my god! Soobin! Are you okay!?" I yelled.
"Stop yelling. You're as light as a feather," Soobin chuckled as he proceeded towards the corridor, with me grabbing onto him like a koala.
"I hate you, you know that?" I muttered.
"The feeling's mutual," he grinned. "Now stop sliding down, you're gonna fall!"
"Sorry!" I muttered.
I took a brief glance at Yeonjun, only to notice how blank his face was. He walked by Soobin's side, looking straight ahead of him, as if he didn't just carry me down the stairs, bridal style.
We were about to approach the corridor that lead to the cafeteria from the classrooms. This area was normally crowded during the lunch break. Boys and girls talking, laughing and basically hanging out before reporting back to their respective classes.
"Hana," Soobin called.
"Yeah?" I looked down at him.
"Start to panic," he muttered to me, as he quickened his pace.
"Huh?" I raised an eyebrow. "But why?"
Signaling to the entrance of the cafeteria, that was quite far away, but still clearly observable, he said, "Just do it!"
Upon seeing the sea of students pouring out of the cafeteria doors, I gasped.
As I looked around us, I noticed cliques of girls turning in our direction making it obvious that they thought that a piggyback ride to the infirmary, was a marvel.
"This is bad," I said, as I started to realize the number of rumors that might be spread among the girls by sunrise, tomorrow.
"Your ankle's gonna get twisted," Soobin whispered hastily. "Then you can scream,"
"Why would I- ARGHHH!" I screamed as I felt a sharp pang at my ankle. "Dude! Watch where you're going!" I yelled at the boy who walked away as if nothing happened. "MORON!"
"Panic, Hana!"
"Soobin! Hurry up!" I yelled, as I dug my nails into the fabric over Soobin's shoulders.
"Hang on!" Soobin fake-yelled.
"Soobin!!!" I screamed. "Hurry up! Run faster! Ughhhh!"
He did ask me to panic.... I'm doing my best....
