Tyler's POV
"It's.... uhh." she said in a daze at a loss for words.
"What is it? Spit it out." I said in frustration. Why can't she just tell me what happened to her? Doesn't she trust me yet?
She looked at me with a blank stare then opened her mouth to talk, "Why do you care about me?" she asked.
"What do you mean why do I care about you?" I started yelling at her, "Can't you see that I'm just trying to apologize for what I did to you at the when I first met you." I said.
What was I supposed to tell her when I didn't know the answer to the question myself.
After I said that she looked down as if she was disappointed at the answer I gave her.
"Well then, I guess I have nothing more to say to you." she said while getting up to dress herself.
She couldn't even look at me anymore. What did I do?
"I may be naive, but I'm not stupid." she said.
She got up and went to the door when she turned back to say, "I think you're apology was accepted, there's no need for me to see you anymore." she said leaving me just as fast as I had met her.
So does that mean that's it for us? I just wanted for us to be friends. Was that too much to ask?
Ring ring
The bell for the next period rang cutting me off from my thoughts.
I quickly ran to class. When I bust through the door I saw Emma, another girl who usually sat at my table for lunch, and mike.
"Well it looks like all four of you students are late to class and everyone already has their partners, so how should we decide. Oh, Emma, you should pick, your name is alphabetically first here. Sorry, Veronica." Mrs. Rogers said.
From across the room, I could see Veronica giving Emma a death stare. She then mouthed something which I couldn't understand, but Emma didn't seem to phased by it.
"I'll just go with Mike." Emma said.
So she really didn't want to be with me that much.
"I guess you're with me then." Veronica said smiling at me while batting her fake eyelashes.
I didn't pay attention to her much though. I looked at Mike flirting with Emma and realized I couldn't do a thing about it.
This class was a double period, and it passed by really slowly. That only made things worse for me.
...
The bell rang and everyone got up to go for lunch. This time, instead of sitting by herself like she did last time, it looks like she was sitting with Mike this time.
For the first time, I managed to ignore her since our encounter this morning.
I went over to the table I usually sat at. I saw Veronica directly across from me. How come I never noticed her before?
My head started killing me. So I got up to head to over to the bathroom to cool off.
Just before I left, I looked over to where Mike and Emma were sitting from before. Looks like they aren't there anymore.
