We were all deciding what to do when we heard a rumble. Jonah looked up. "Guys the cave entrance collapsed!" We all started panicking. We were stuck in a cave with a bunch of strangers, a (possibly) dead person, and no communication with the outside world. It was then that Kelly found some loose rocks at the back of the cave.
We all forgot about Callan and went to the back of the cave. From there, we pulled out all the loose rocks and there was a passage. Kelly decided to go first. We were all venturing through the tunnel, when we came upon 2 openings. I looked down. They were slides that were dark and deep. "Ummmmm..." I said. "Which one should we go down?" I suddenly realized something. "Guys, I'm going to go down one of them and I'll yell up to you if it's good." I offered. "Ok." Kelly said. I took a deep breath, and plunged into darkness.
Wind rushed past my face. I tried to close my eyes, but the wind peeled them back. A little black square appeared at the end of my vision. As I gained speed, the square got bigger. The slide ended, and I slid onto the bottom. The ground was kind of wet. I looked at the other tunnel. There was spikes at the end. Someone had been here before. I looked back up the tunnel and yelled, "ITS OK! COME DOWN NOW!" A few seconds later I heard screaming coming down the tunnel. Hannah slid out onto the ground. One by one, the rest of the kids came down. "It looks like this place is under the lake" I commented. There were pipes everywhere, and water dripping down from them. We were all deciding what to do when my feet got cold. I looked down. The water was rising up. "Guys run!" I yelled. Everyone started to panic. Then suddenly I realized that the pipes led up to a hole in the roof. "Climb the pipes! Climb the pipes!" I yelled. Everyone started to climb up after me. The water was rising fast. Kelly was scrambling up so fast, I thought she'd fall.
And then she did.
She screamed as she fell down towards the water. I jumped to the exit and looked down. She hit the water and went silent. As everyone eventually made their way up, they looked down at the water. We climbed up the stairs, and surfaced to blazing sunlight.
