Little things

Today was an important day, my first date ever.
I couldn't stop thinking about her, she was perfect. I felt complete with her.

" Honey, it's 7'o clock, go pick her up. Poor girl must be waiting for you"

Mom looked happy.

" mom thanks , only because of you I got the courage to ask her out otherwise I still would have been that miserable boy. "

I immediately hugged her.

" Now go, get my daughter in law and I want many many grandchildren"

I groaned

I was nervous would be an understatement.

Ringing the doorbell, I nervously started to fix my self.

" hi"

I looked up and saw Ella , god she looked like an angel, an angel made for me.

" hi"

Behind her stood her father, I assume.

He smiled slightly and we shook our hands.

" have fun and bring her home before 12."

"Yes sir"

"Do you like beaches?"

" yes, Aston. "

" you sure, we could always go else where"

"Ashton, calm down, I love the sea and the beach."

" ok"

Suddenly it grew quite, we were both clueless about what to talk.

" Ashton, am I your first date?"

Was it that obvious

" yes, you are my first date"

She blushed

" mine too "

We exchanged a shy smile.
I slowly reached for her hand and entwined my fingers with hers.

This was perfect, everything was perfect.

" Ella, do you know I love stars , the night sky. It's like they are a part of me . I can't seem to remember since when this insomnia grew on me. But I don't feel lonely anymore. The night is my friend and I'm his. This is a serious condition but I guess now it doesn't make a difference whether I sleep or not. I'm used to this routine."

I was expecting her to look bored but she was absorbing every word.

" I know, Ashton, that feeling, remember we are very much alike, even I can't seem to remember at what age did this start.but now I don't mind. I have become comfortable with this routine. And I have you"

I suddenly looked up at her.

" I love you, Ashton. Just like how insomnia has taken my sleep away, you have taken my breath away, evaded my sleepless dreams. I just can't stop thinking about you. I love you and every little things about you."

I didn't know what to say, she felt the same about me.

" I love you too, my Ella. It was love at first sight. You were the reason I came every night to the cafe, your sweet smile, your voice and everything about you became my favorite.
Will you be my girlfriend , Ella?"

She was crying, tears of happiness, that happiness which I gave her. She smiled and said " yes" .

I wrapped my hands around her waist and pulled her close to me. And kissed her. I felt the fireworks the same way I felt when we met.
