Thank you all for reading! This was a long story, so thanks for sticking around until the end. I'm sorry if I didn't give you the happy end that you might have been hoping for, but, to be honest, I started writing this whole story with the ending already in mind. A few years ago I wrote a song called 'A Tiny Ring' (see above), and the idea of this book came from there. So it was going to be a sad story from the beginning...
I've been thinking of maybe continuing it, with a second book set in the present. She could change her mind, couldn't she? Roy could be a more prominent character (we'd feel so bad for him!!). But I'm not sure... I feel like continuing it would 'cancel' the whole point of how the first book ended. Maybe I'll have a go, at some point.
