As Stain and Eri got distance away from the chasing Pro Heroes, the two Hero Killers found themselves in an alleyway, hiding.
Eri: Are you okay, Sensei?
Stain: I'll be fine. It'll take more than a recruit heroes than to take me down! With that being said, we need to head back to the hideout!
Eri: As you say.
Stain and Eri navigate their way through the shadows to avoid another fight. As they near the hideout, they hear gunshots.
Eri: What was that?
Stain: I don't know. Some kinda fight I imagine. Investigate as you wish. I'll meet you at the hideout. Watch yourself.
As Stain and Eri split up, Eri goes to the source where the gunshots were coming from. She enters the scene and sees a person wearing black body armor and a combat mask shaped like a skull surrounded by dead criminals and some kind of hero.
Vigilante: You think you can extort from these scumbags and expect a deal from me?!
Hero: Please! I'm just trying to make a little my fix! Please! Show some mercy!
Vigilante: I'm all out of mercy!
The vigilante pulls out a pistol from his holster and shoots the hero in the head. As he holsters the pistol, he is confronted by Eri.
Eri: Who are you?
Vigilante: I should be asking you the same question.
Eri: Who was that you just killed?
Vigilante: A Pro Hero using this gang of scumbags to get a hold of some kinda smack. This particular gang was responsible for a string of murders while that piece of trash covered it up.
Eri: So you killed a False Hero?
Vigilante: You're sounding like the Hero Killer. I've been hearing that he took a sidekick.
Eri: I'm no sidekick! I'm his apprentice!
Vigilante: Whatever you say lady. What brings you by these parts?
Eri: I was on patrol with my Sensei hunting False Heroes, but we ran into trouble. We split up to after hearing the gunshots.
Vigilante: So you up and left your Sensei after hearing my work?
Eri: It's not like that!
The Vigilante simply sighed as he holsters his pistols, seeing Eri wasn't a threat.
Vigilante: Whatever you say.
One of the criminals that the vigilante had shot was still alive, but was bleeding out.
Criminal: H.....h....elp......
Vigilante: Looks like there's one dog that needs putting down.
Eri sees a tattoo that looks like something Yakuza would wear. Seeing that made her remember Overhaul's connection to the Yakuza. She stopped the vigilante from killing him, wanting to get information on him.
Eri: Stop!
Vigilante: Thought you were interested in killing scumbags and Fake Heroes. Why stop me from killing him?
Eri simply walked to the wounded criminal and began asking questions.
Eri: Who do you work for?!
The criminal began to fade out, but Eri used her Rewind Quirk to heal the wound. As she does so, the horn on her head starts to grow.
Criminal: What the hell?!
Eri: Who do you work for?! NOW!
Criminal: If I tell you......will you let me go?
Eri: TELL ME!
Criminal: I work for the Shie Hassaikai!
Hearing that name brought back horrible memories of pain and torment at the hands of Overhaul. She knew exactly that Overhaul was behind this. Eri pulls out her customized combat knife and holds it to the criminal's throat.
Eri: What does Shie Hassaikai want?! What are their plans?!
Criminal: I don't know! I'm just an enforcer!
Eri: What about the False Hero?
Criminal: He made a deal with the boss! Overhaul gave him Trigger in exchange for cooperation! That's all I know I swear! Please just let me go!
The criminal heard the cocking of the Vigilante's gun, putting fear in the criminal's eyes.
Criminal: Wait a minute! What the fuck?! I told you everything I know! You said you'd let me go!
Vigilante: She never said anything. And besides.......even if she did, I never said a thing.
The criminal pleaded for his life, but the Vigilante aims the gun to the criminal's head and pulls the trigger, killing the criminal.
Vigilante: Shie Hassaikai? Never would've figured those scumbags of working with guys like that. What about you?
Eri: What about me?
Vigilante: When he said that name, you looked like you've seen a ghost.
Eri: That's none of your concern!
Vigilante: Touched a nerve didn't I? Well, he wasn't lying. I checked the Hero's body and found some Trigger. Seems like Trigger is really becoming quite the commodity on the market.
Eri: He could've given us more information.
Vigilante: He's too low on the food chain to have any useful information. You want useful info, go after the Eight Expendables.
Eri: I know......
Vigilante: Whatever you or Stain are planning, I want in.
Eri: Is that so?
Vigilante: The Shie Hassaikai are just as bad as the League of Villains if not more. You're gonna need big guns for this. A bunch of swords, knifes and other pointy things aren't gonna be enough to take them out.
Eri: It's not your business!
Vigilante: So it's personal huh? Well you're not the only one who's got a personal grudge against those bastards! So why refuse more help?
Eri: I'll have to speak to Stain about this. As for you......I'll see what I can do about you joining our crusade. What name do I give him?
Vigilante: Reaper. The Grim Reaper. Whenever you get the answer, meet me back here tomorrow in the afternoon to avoid any kind of suspicion. Deal?
The Grim Reaper extends his hand to Eri. Eri accepts the Reaper's deal and shakes his hand.
Grim Reaper: We should probably clear out before any cops or heroes show up.
Eri and the Grim Reaper take their separate paths as Eri returns to the hideout to inform Stain of her encounter with the Grim Reaper.
