Dan tilted his head to the side, letting the wind whip through his hair, undoubtedly ruining the curls he worked so hard to make perfect.

His thoughts were lost in the breeze, his mind at ease. It felt nice. Dan rarely ever feels peaceful around people anymore.

Phil was focused on the road ahead but he was equally calm. There was soft music playing through the speakers. He didn't know what it was, but he liked it.

Their collective silence was uncharacteristic, but they both found it to be comfortable.

Phil turned the Jeep onto a dirt road and drove it into some pretty deep woods. The road disappeared and he parked the car.

"Alright we're here."

"Where is here?"

Dan looked around at all the trees and plants. They were literally in the middle of nowhere.

"Follow me." Phil grabbed a bag out of the back seat and then Dan's hand. He led Dan through the woods and then stopped suddenly.

"Watch your step."

The trees opened up to a clearing that seemed to be right on the edge of a steep cliff.

"This is kinda terrifying." Dan said.

"Just trust me."

Phil pulled a small blanket out of his bag and placed it on a soft patch of grass. He then pulled out two Subway sandwiches and a cheap bottle of wine.

"Wow Subway, so romantic."

"I know right? Sit." Phil motioned to a spot on the blanket. Dan sat and Phil joined him. The sun was just setting and the view from the cliff side was magnificent.

"You're such a sap. Sunset picnics, five dollar wine and Subway?"

"I told you I was going to give you the real thing. This is as real as it gets with me."

Dan smiled and kissed Phil. He pushed Phil's chest until he was laying flat on the blanket and then curled up into his side.

"I don't understand how you can be so adorable all the time." Phil breathed into Dan's hair.

"I am cute aren't I?"

Phil scoffed and lightly slapped Dan's ass. "Don't be such a brat."

"You like it. Don't lie."

"I fucking love it." Phil sat up despite his whole brain telling him not to, and grabbed the sandwiches. "Eat."

Dan listened. They both sat there, eating their food, drinking the wine, having weird ass conversations.

"If animals could talk, which one do you think would be the most rude?"

"What type of question is that?" Phil laughed.

"I think any sort of furry rodent. Squirrels, chipmunks, are meerkats rodents?"

"I have no clue. Besides, you're wrong. The most rude animal would easily be geese. Those fuckers are the devil's children."

"What did a goose ever do to you?"

"I don't really want to talk about it."

Dan busted out laughing. His dimples were prominent and his eyes were wrinkled up in the best way. Phil could see laugh lines on Dan's face, they looked like they were almost fading away. Phil had so much he wanted to ask this boy, but tonight isn't about that.

"You are so beautiful."

Dan blushed. "Stoooop."

"What? It's true!"

"I know but you don't have to tell me!"

"I'm going to tell you every single day for the rest of your life. You're beautiful, you're perfect, you're so sweet, you're so fucking hot, you're everything I ever wanted."

Dan pounced on Phil, crashing their lips together. They were moving with so much desperate want and fever that neither of them could breathe. Phil quickly pushed his tongue into Dan's mouth and Dan let out a loud whine.

Phil rolled over so he was on top of Dan and slowly moved his hips to grind against Dan's.

"God you are fucking amazing. I wanna fuck you so bad."

"Go ahead." Dan smirked. "But lets go to the Jeep first."
