Personality: Yuka is quiet and shies away from socializing. He's very shy and gentle, despite his size and intimidating features. Is prone to easily triggered panic attacks that can end in some violent lash out. Yuka is ultimately damaged as a person overall and has lacked contact with other people for the majority of his life. Little is expressed by him nor known. Is not used to modern life and knows little of its ways.
Strengths: Durable, thrives in below freezing temperatures, can breathe underwater and vision can be enhanced with his third eye
Weaknesses: The switch between water and air leads to really bad wheezing coughing and breathlessness. Despises hot weather. Socializing with others is not his strong suit. Often stumbles around and hits his head in doorways
Appearance: Yuka is a very tall fellow who's size and intimidation does not match with his bumbling self. His dark hair is messy, shorter now but still manages to get in his eyes. To hide the black, beak-like mandibles that jut out from the sides of his mouth, Yuka will always wear a black medical-type mask to hide it. Wears thick clothing to hide his body and skin, which has plenty of reddish and white patches in some areas. Four red tentacles leave his shoulder blades, so long they can drag behind him like a small bridal train, though usually hovering in the air like a tail or draped around his neck like a scarf. Eyes are an almost black, brown.
Animal characteristics: Four huge reddish tentacles protrude from his shoulder blades that easily trail behind him. Has a third eye on his forehead that is always hidden by his messy hair. Has these two extra beak—mandibles that can retract from his gums at will sometimes. Skin is always cold and has large patches of white and red skin similar to birthmarks in a way. Withstands below freezing temperatures, breathe underwater, etc
Aggression: 3/10 unless provoked
Backstory: Got to visit his parents on their fishing boat as a child. It struck an iceberg and capsized in the middle of the ocean. Yuka was the lone survivor because of his hybrid genes and lived on a raft made of driftwood tied together for years on end in isolation. Was found by fishermen who quickly rescued him from the sea. They taught him words and gave him a name since it'd been so long since he was with his parents. Chose to attend Marigold because he thought it could help him assimilate better into society
