Jisoo's POV.
"Jennie! Wake up!" I continued to yell, well, kind of first thing in the morning as I shook her.
She groaned and covered herself with the duvet, saying, "Five minutes."
"What five minutes?! Get up now" I pulled her duvet down, but she drew me toward her, so I wound up lying down next to her.
And she wrapped herself around me like a koala again.
I whimpered and attempted to run away from her, but she wouldn't let me. "Jen, my chicken is waiting downstairs. It's aching to get down my stomach. Let me go and get up! Come on!"
Her clingy side showed off again.
"Who's going to wake you up every morning after I get married, huh? Mom and Dad are both in L.A., Jennie, my baby sister, I told you to get yourself a girlfriend or a boyfriend already so you wouldn't need to rely on me anymore." I scolded.
"Unnie, are you seriously picking that girlfriend of yours over me? Like the hell?" she asked in disbelief.
I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever, just get up!"
She got down on her bed and asked, "And why was there a girlfriend choice? Do you suspect I'm not straight?"
"Uhh, Jen. You can be straight, and you can be not. That's why there were choices" I said then wiggled my eyebrows teasingly.
She rolled her eyes and said, "Whatever," before flying straight to the bathroom.
I smiled as I recalled how she defended me when I revealed to our parents, I have a girlfriend.
Jennie was always their favorite daughter. I was okay with it. I am aware that Jennie is far more capable than I am. I'm occasionally jealous of her, but most of the time I'm proud of and delighted to have a sister like her. Despite the fact that she is the preferred daughter and consistently gets what she wants. I am aware of how much love she has for me. She is always concerned about me and wants the best for me.
She's the best sister anyone can have. I have witnessed how selfless she can be when it comes to my welfare and happiness.
When I told my parents I have a girlfriend, they became very upset, but Jennie was there. Despite the fact that I was older and should have been protecting her, she nevertheless shielded me. She guarded me and pleaded with our parents to allow me to be happy.
I owe her big time. She has always wanted me to be happy. That's why I really love that sister of mine.
I'm really lucky to have her.
My phone vibrated so I immediately checked who messaged me and I couldn't help but smile as I found out who it was.
From: My Fiancé
Chu, good morning! I didn't wake you, right? I'm missing you so bad though, like really. I'm very excited to go home. I love you
Even though she has been my girlfriend for more than two years, I was unable yet to introduce her to Jennie, my parents, or even my friends.
I met her back in New York when I stayed there for a year. That was last year, it was her work that's making her stay there but she said she's been living in Korea before. I visited her on our anniversary a month ago and that's when she proposed.
That was one of the best nights of my life and I vowed never to do anything to let her leave. I'll do everything to make her stay.
To: My Fiancé
I miss you too, baby. I can't wait to see you again. I can't wait to show them you, though. After I told them you proposed, they were all dying to meet you. Three more days, and then we'll be back together. I love you.
