Chapter 1 : The Fiancé

Jennie's POV.

Jisoo nearly dragged Seulgi out of her room with Irene as she yelled, "Hey! Seulgi, move faster! We can't be late! We're fetching my fiancé!"

We were all ready already—actually, it wasn't until Seulgi slept out once more that Jisoo and Irene had to gently reprimand her.

"I instructed you to wait, not to go to sleep!"

You may, however, delete that 'little' portion on my statement.

I sighed and turned to face the balcony's transparent glass doors. I'm not sure why, but as my eyes stared at the sun halfway rising, I started to get a little thrilled. In fact, it seems like today might be wonderful.

After scolding Seulgi, we went straight outside the hotel we were staying at as we saw the white van waiting for us.

Rosé headed straight for the passenger's seat as someone unlocked the van's door for us. Seulgi and Irene went at the back, so Jisoo and I settled down in the middle.

In the midst of the ride, Seulgi abruptly questioned, "Is your fiancé ugly?"

And here we go again.

"What the hell, Kang Seulgi?!" Jisoo exclaimed, in either horror or disbelief.

"What? You never let us see her, maybe you're embarrassed that you fell in love with an ugly duckling?" Seulgi mocked as she received a smack from Irene.

"Wait until you see for yourself then," Jisoo smirked.

By the conviction in Jisoo's eyes—she has never been this sure of herself in her entire life—I was certain at that exact moment that her fiancé would be a hot one.

"But since we're in the midst of meeting her already. Can you, at least, tell us what her name is, unnie?" I asked while I was plugging my earphones in.

She looked at me before her smirk grew wider.

"It's Lisa"

Lisa's POV.

I inhaled as soon as the crisp air reached my skin.

"Oh God, it's been years, I missed Korea's air so much," I exclaimed and afterwards pulled my phone out of my pocket.

Jisoo and her friends haven't arrived yet despite the fact that I've been waiting for 20 minutes already. So, I made the decision to go out of the airport and wait outside instead. In all honesty, she was the one who asked for my presence here, and well, who am I to object when she said she wants me to me directly fly to Jeju Island so that I could get to know and be close to her friends? I want to get along with everyone that loves my fiancé as well.

I called her and after a few rings she picked up.

"Baby! I'm so sorry, Seulgi was just being a kid and she didn't wake up early--aww!" she stopped as I heard a smack.

I smiled as she added, "So, where am I? Okay, but don't worry because we're almost there. Wait for me, okay? I love you."

"I'm already outside the airport though, you'll undoubtedly pass by here. Take care, I love you too, baby" I said before hanging up the phone.

A white van then stopped in front of me shortly after.

"Baby! God, I missed you!" Jisoo exclaimed as soon as she got out of the van then hugged me.

I chuckled then hugged her back.

I gave her a forehead kiss and whispered, "I missed you too."

"Sorry to keep you waiting" she apologized. I responded, "No, I understand completely," before turning to face the folks behind her.
