Kayla's house

Getting dragged to a rich girl's party wasn't exactly Finn's idea of fun. He heard about the party through Cherry, and she had consequently made him come. Come to the party, she said, it will be fun! She said.

It had been a bit of a whirlwind since he'd been there, and when some drunk fool suggested spin the bottle - truth or dare edition, it got a whole lot worse. Cherry pulled him into the circle next to her, and Finn wasn't surprised to see Logan, Jake, and Andy at the party. They were 'the people' to invite to a party.

Kayla sat next to Andy, his hand round her shoulders. The luminous haired girl was whispering something to the person next to her, who was obscured from Finn's view. Probably another imbecile from his school. Jake (who sat on Logan's other side) reached forward and gave the bottle the first spin. It landed on a guy who had obviously had too much to drink, as he was facing the wrong direction. "Oi!" Jake snapped his fingers. The boy spun around and everyone laughed. Finn remained stony faced and silent, unwilling to play the game. But he couldn't back out now.

A few spins in and the bottle landed on Cherry. "Truth or Dare?" Logan sneered. "Dare!" The blonde declared.

"I dare you to kiss Finn!"

Silence. Kayla's hand tightened on the arm of the person he couldn't see, because everyone kept leaning forward. Kayla shot Logan a dirty look, but the curly haired boy brushed it off and smiled at Cherry. "Chicken?"

What happened next happened so fast Finn could barely register it. Cherry's lips crashed down on his; seconds later the person next to Kayla leaped up and ran from the room. A few murmured insults rose, but ultimately the game continued in full swing. Apart from Logan. Logan had gone to find the kid who ran out.

Kayla's house - Hallway

Piper sunk to the floor, back against the painted wall. The striped black and white top that Kayla had lent her had a small tear in the right sleeve. She'd probably torn it, as she couldn't remember it being there before. Piper's gaze kept flicking from object to object, trying to find something, anything, that would distracted her from what happened in the main room. The image of Finn kissing another girl swirled round and round in her mind, and Piper knew Logan had made them do it to hurt her. He'd succeeded. A single tear dripped down her cheek and splashed onto the cream carpet. She wanted to go home.

Logan gritted his teeth as he slammed yet another door in a fruitless attempt to find Piper. A soft whimper came from around the corner, and he smiled slightly. Found you! The 18 year old boy whipped round the corner, and clapped a hand tightly on her shoulder. The girl he was holding looked up angrily at him, pushed of his hand and strode off, blonde hair swishing. Oops.
"Logan?" A timid voice came from behind him. Logan turned to see Piper leaning against a wall for support, her face wet with tears. "Can I go home?" She whispered, and he stepped forward to pull her cold form towards him. "The party's just started, baby." Logan said, lips brushing the tip of her ear.
"I'm not a baby, and I'm definitely not yours," Piper seethed, twisting out form his embrace like a snake. He frowned; she glared back. "Well, we don't have to go back to the party..." The advancing Logan whispered seductively. Piper took a step back, and found herself pressed up against the wall. Logan took the opportunity and placed his hands on her hips - his body pressed against hers. Piper squirmed uncomfortably as one of his hands travelled from her hip to slip under her top.
"Logan, they've been calling for you! Chic in the living room wants to check you out!" A heavily accented voice called from one end of the corridor. Logan licked his lips, and shot Piper a sideways glance. "Stay here, I'll be right back," He instructed, before leaving to rejoin the party.
Piper sighed and sunk to the floor, hugging her knees to her chest. "Want to go home?" A different voice asked her, closer than she'd realised. Piper looked up to see Finn smiling at her. "Finn?"
"Chic in the living rooms wants to check you out," Finn laughed in the accented voice. Piper laughed shakily as he pulled her to her feet.
"There's a back entrance that leads into the garden," The blonde boy explained, beckoning her to follow him.
"How do you know?"
"Let's just say I've had to escape a lot of parties filled with drunk teens."
Piper laughed again - it felt like an eternity since she'd last laughed like this.

Kayla's house - Garden

Twigs scratched at her bare arms, leaves caught in her hair and the branch she was perched on wobbled precariously. "Lower yourself with your arms," Finn coaxed from the ground. He had already scaled the tree and was safely on the other side. "It's harder than it looks you know!" Piper retorted sharply, although she was positive she must look stupid from where he was standing. "Whatever you do, don't fall. My wrist has only just started recovering, and I think catching a falling girl counts as 'overworking' it" Finn added, trying to look on the bright side of things. Piper snorted and lowered herself from the branch, hoping that her feet would touch the floor like Finn's did. No such luck. She dangled for a bit, before letting herself drop. Piper looked triumphantly at Finn, who was - to her shock - trying to stifle a laugh.
"What!?" She asked, putting her fists on her hips and frowning.
"You're so short!"
"No I'm not!"
"You so are,"
"You're just tall!"
"Well, you can't say your above average heigh-," Finn was cut off by Piper pressing her lips to his chapped ones. He blinked at her in surprise. "Don't get used to it, it was the only way I could shut you up," Piper explained, not really angry. Finn smiled softly. Then his face fell. "How did you get here?" He asked, concerned.
"Logan took me," Piper sighed, head dropping. Finn's frown deepened, but he didn't say anything more.
"We'll have to walk to your house then. My mum dropped me off and something tells me that James wouldn't be happy to know that you were here with me rather than in bed," The tall boy joked slightly.
Piper gasped and grabbed his wrist to check the old watch on it. 23:00.
"James is going to explode," The soft brunette whispered.
"Then let's get moving!"

Piper's house. 23:18

"Piper, you need to tell James about Logan," Finn finally spoke, catching Piper off guard. Seeing her shocked expression only made him more determined. He gently put his hands on her shoulders and made her look him in the eyes. "He's dangerous. Who knows what he would've done to you if I hadn't interfered!" His calm voice was riddled with concern and jealousy, yet Piper couldn't tell which emotion controlled his words. "I can look after myself!" She said defiantly.
"I'm not saying you can't, just that he's bad news!"
"And you think I wanted him to be that close to me?!"
"Of course not! But he was, and that's that!"
"I'm not a child!"
"He could have hurt you again," Finn whispered, taking her hands in his. Piper pulled away angrily and stormed towards her front door. "Next time, don't bother saving me," She hissed, and swung the door shut. Finn pushed back the tears that came to his eyes, and left the deserted street, unaware of the curly haired boy watching him from the shadows.

The boy growled, and pulled out a cloth wrapped package. The cloth fell away from the object within, revealing a silver gun. So badly he wanted to use it. One shot and that interfering boy would be gone. Yes, the boy in the shadows thought, bang and she's mine. Instead, he pulled out an annoyingly pink phone and messaged someone.

One more thing for you to do Summer. You need to silence our little friend permanently. I don't care how you do it, but remember, disobey me and everyone will know your secret. You have 24 hours before they all find out.

Don't disappoint me.
