Chapter 6

Taehyung's strength.

A seemingly simple, but confusing concept.

Even Taehyung did not know everything about it. He did not know the cause of it. He did not know its true extent.

He also didn't know if he could lose his power and if so, how?

Pretty scary, if you think about it.

Anyway, back to present.

Taehyung, Jimin, Hoseok and Jungkook arrived at the venue, a mansion belonging to one of Jungkook's friends, Yugyeom.

And, yeah, as you can guess, Taehyung gained a lot of attention.

A lot of attention that Taehyung was not used to. Like several girls swarming around him asking if he was single, Namjoon spitting out his drink onto Jin's face, not forgetting Yoongi who was subtly checking him out.

Oh and Jimin.

Jimin who was dropping a cringey pick-up line every second that made Taehyung blush, calling him nicknames, the most common being "TaeTae", and being extra touchy with him too.

Jungkook was just watching silently, grumbling as Taehyung stole all the attention which was supposed to belong to him.

And the slight annoyance, or what he thought was annoyance, he felt everytime Jimin gently brushed Taehyung's shoulder, or placed his hand on the blue head's thigh, or hugged him.

But his annoyance peaked when annoying Jimin asked annoying Taehyung a very annoying question.

"Taehyung, would you like to go out with me?"

Before Taehyung could answer, Jungkook stormed up to the pair and yelled,

"STOP!"

The pair looked at the younger in confusion, the cheeks of Taehyung tinted a bright red.

"I mean... would you like some drinks?" Jungkook stuttered.

"No. Go away," Jimin replied bluntly, dragging Taehyung out the room.

It shouldn't matter to Jungkook if Taehyung and Jimin ended up dating or something. He should mind his own business and let them mind theirs.

But still, Jungkook found himself following them out the room.

When Jimin saw Jungkook following them, he let out a sigh as if he was trying to control his temper.

"Jungkook, you know I love you very much, but please could you let Taehyung and I have some privacy just this once."

A bit of Jungkook's heart chipped away, (for reason unknown) but he washed away the upset with anger.

"No."

Jimin let out a scoff, "What?"

"I said no," Jungkook repeated crossing his arms like a stubborn child.

Jimin stepped forward, "I'm sorry, do I have to teach you basic manners? When someone kindly asks you to leave to give them privacy, Jungkook, you fucking leave."

"Jimin's right, Jungkook," Taehyung said quietly behind Jimin, "We'll be with you after we're done talking."

Taehyung's calmness just added fuel to Jungkook's fire. He was being unreasonable and he knew it, but he couldn't stop.

It was like carelessly removing one book from a gigantic book tower, and then the rest comes toppling down and there's not much you can do to stop it.

And this gigantic tower of books came toppling down when Jimin yelled, "LEAVE, YOU SELFISH SON OF A-"

Jungkook, not thinking of the consequences and acting spontaneously, threw a punch at Jimin's nose.

Jimin groaned, clutching his nose, eyes watery.

"JUNGKOOK!" Taehyung shrieked, also acting spontaneously and grabbing Jungkook's wrist.

Jungkook let out a cry of pain as Taehyung began crushing his wrist.

"Stop! Stop!" he uselessly blubbered, attempting to pry his wrist out of Taehyung's grip but failing.

It was only after Jimin yelled at Taehyung for fifteen minutes to let go did Taehyung release his grip on Jungkook.

Jungkook, feeling dizzy, collapsed onto the floor, still letting out squeaks of despair, tears decorating his cheeks.

His wrist was broken.

Taehyung came back into reality.

"Oh my god. Jungkook! I'm so sorry! I- I-," Taehyung blabbered, hastily rushing over to Jungkook and gently looking at his wrist, then at Jungkook's tear-streaked face, then back at his wrist.

Jimin also rushed to Jungkook, blaming himself for the state of his best friend.

"If I let him stay with us this wouldn't have happened!"

"Don't blame yourself Jimin," Taehyung started, "I'm the one who hurt him."
