( Sorry this one took so long to come out.)
When we arrived, we both chucked our shoes behind the door, and headed to the front room. Chloe loaded up Netflix while i made popcorn, and grabbed 2 blankets. By then, it was 2:30pm. I came back down stairs, to my living room, holding two massive bowls of pop corn, and blankets over each arm. The buttery- sweet smell burst into the air and within minutes, it was the only smell recognizable. I put the glass bowls down on the coffee table and sank into the sofa.
I passed Chloe the thick, fluffy blanket and she took it gratefully, unfolded it out onto her legs, and lay her head on the headrest. Chloe clicked "Play" on the Episode. I snuggled down into the soft blanket, listening and staring at the screen, almost not blinking. So much was going on in this Episode, It's insane and difficult to keep up with. Not too well planned out... The episode finished, and it reached for my popcorn but accidentally tipped it on the floor. I rolled my eyes, and got back into the blanket anyway. The next episode played, less hectic, and easier to follow.
I looked over at Chloe, staring directly at the screen, serious look placed on her face, and the reflection of the TV bouncing off her eyes. It's amazing how much she could pay attention when she was interested.
We sat there through an episode and a half, watching and not speaking a word, too focused on the screen. But out of no where, muffled shouts echoed in the room, and the sound a jackhammer started up. I reluctantly got up and drew the curtains. Right outside. Really? I turned to Chloe who was still watching AHS, But now the subtitles displayed on the screen. I shrugged and went back to the sofa, drawing the curtains yet again. The sound of the drill bounced around inside my head, and my ears began to ring. Chloe had also become fidgety and the TV switched off. "Let's go upstairs" I shouted, before cupping my hands over my ears and running into my room, Chloe close behind.
