I picked a table further away from the window, because i hated people walking past, and looking at you in disgust, or like you were crazy. Chloe came back shortly, with my usual double shot espresso, and she had got herself a cookie. I gave her the money for paying, but she shove it away. "The most i can do for you letting me stay at yours is buy you a coffee. It was only two dollars fifty anyway so don't worry" I smiled and refused to listen, putting the money in front of her. She shook her head and reluctantly took it, smirking.
I slowly sipped the warm, frothy coffee, savoring every mouthful. Chloe was still eating her cookie, clearly enjoying the taste and she still had a huge bright smile fixed on her face. "Why are you so cheery?" I said. She shook her head, changing the smirk into a huge goofy grin that could warm anyone's heart. "I haven't felt this happy for ages." She answered "And i missed spending days on end together, like we used to" I scrunched my nose up and smiled at her. I have the best friend ever. This girl i met when i was 7 or 8, that used to be my arch nemesis, is now the best person I've met. "Me too. I'm glad i got you over here" I said after clearing my throat.
We sat in silence for a while, to finish our food and drink. I stood up, and so did Chloe, brushing the crumbs off her red dress. "Let's go home and watch Netflix."
"AMERICAN HORROR STORY" She yelled in response, and covered her mouth after. "I'm on the Witch bit, episode.. I don't remember." I nodded "The zombie part?" She smiled and nodded, and we left the shop with a flourish, as Chloe described it.
