Damon was bustling in the kitchen, cooking up something scrumptious. The smell of his risotto was luring me. Our Italian roots deemed some sort of authentic meal weekly, and Damon delivered. He was a fantastic cook. Wish I could say the same for my self. 

I tumbled down the stairs, eager to get a taste of what was brewing. Rushing down only earned me a reprimand from Damon. "Ava, how many times have I told you to..."
I cut him off, "Come down the stairs like a lady and not a leaping monkey."

Damon then told me to get up the stairs and come back some properly. I did, but not without a litany of complains, under my breath of course. But Damon could obviously hear them, with his vamp hearing. But luckily chose to let it go, quite a rare occurrence.

I hopped onto the bar stool and started munching on the chopped carrots, Damon just glared me down until I stopped munching on his food prep.

While Damon cooked I tried building up some  courage to ask Damon if I could go for a party at the Lockwoods tonight. After yesterday's fiasco and against my better judgment... I decided I go for it... and boy, was that a mistake...
