3) Soulmates

As I walked through the halls of the school I noticed a lot of people were glaring at me. Girls mostly. This is weird, I never got any attention. Ever. I know I'm a new student but still.

"Hey, Eunmi!" I heard Serim's voice call out. I looked at her and smiled. "We need to talk." She said as soon as she got to me and dragged me along with her. I wondered what she had to talk about.

"So you ditched me just to hang out with a guy?" Serim said and looked at me angrily. "Damn, I didn't think you were such a slut."

"Let me explain Serim." I said and she rolled her eyes. "Ok, whatever, shoot." She said, she still had that angry expression on her face.

"I was waiting for you in the entrance of the school, ok? He just came and dragged me. I tried getting away but he wouldn't let me." I tried explaining but as soon as I was done she chuckled. "That's a lame excuse. You two seemed to have a lot of fun shopping in that expensive store. What was it called again? Oh I don't even know, its way out of my league."

"Wait," I said as I looked at her confused. "How do you know that?" I asked and she chuckled again. "What? Do you think your little encounter would be kept a secret? You thought I wouldn't find out?" She said as she laughed bitterly. "Oh well, I guess you wouldn't mind everyone finding out about your other little secret." She said and showed me a picture of me with my puzzle necklace out.

"That you're a cheating slut for your soulmate." She said and walked away angrily. My legs suddenly stopped working and I collapsed on the floor. No, this can't be happening. No... No. No. No. No.

My breath started getting quicker and quicker like I had no air left in my lungs until everything became black.

I woke up in a white room. I quickly sat up and winced in pain. "Hey, are you ok?" I heard a voice ask from beside me. I looked at where the voice came from and was surprised to see Junkyu sitting there. "What am I doing here?" I asked as I looked around.

"You fainted in the bathroom." Junkyu said as he kept on looking at me, I felt his gaze on me and that made me feel uncomfortable. He sighed. "The doctor said that you can get released as soon as you wake up." He said as he stood up from his chair beside you. "My cousin's wedding is tomorrow. I'll pick you up at around 7pm."

I nodded. He seemed like he wanted to say another thing. "I'll take you back to your house." He said and walked out the door. Is he being... nice?

I got out the room and saw Junkyu waiting there for me. He looked at me and smiled, we both went to get me officially released before we went outside to his motorcycle. "Not this death machine again..." I mumbled but Junkyu heard it and chuckled. He picked me up by the waist and put me on the motorcycle. "I can get on myself." I said and took the helmet he gave me and put it on myself. He chuckled yet again. "But I'm afraid you might escape." He said as he got on the motorcycle and put his own helmet on.

I tried holding him by his shoulders yet again like last time but he moved them to his waist yet again. "Its safer that way so stop being stubborn." He said and I huffed in anger. He then took off. Me being so close to him made my heart beat faster yet again and I still didn't understand it, I hate the guy, he's too cocky, too stubborn, annoying. Like how can my heart react positively towards him.

We reached my house and I took of the helmet and gave it to him. He smiled at me and I just looked at him weirdly, did he get hit by a bus or something? "I'm gonna pick you up everyday." He said and my eyes widened. "What? Why? You don't need to, and there are rumors about us dating now and I wouldn't want them to continue further and Serim found out about my puzzle necklace and I don't know if she spread the photos yet or not and it would make me seem like I'm cheating and-" I started rambling and stopped when Junkyu put his finger on my mouth to shut me up.
