4) The L Word

"I can't believe you got in trouble in school!" My aunt was ranting as she picked me up from school, who knew that talking in class would cause you to be suspended for the day. Nobody, cause it doesn't make any sense. "Talking in class? With a boy? Its the same boy from yesterday am I right?" I didn't answer her as I just wanted to get out of there. "Ok, no more meeting him, he's a bad influence." My eyes widened at that statement. "What do you mean?" I asked.

"Well, you get home late everyday lately and now got in trouble in school. All because of that boy. So, no more meeting him." She said. I just shook my head. "You can't do that."

"I can do whatever I want and see necessary, you're under my watch." She said and I stayed quiet for a while. "Hey, do you happen to know why does a puzzle necklace burn?" I randomly asked, the only person I could possibly ask was my aunt and I needed to ask before I forgot to. "What do you mean a burning puzzle necklace? Like literally burning in flames or just getting really hot?" My aunt asked confused, I'm pretty sure she took in high school a class about soulmates and puzzle necklaces, nowadays we don't have them anymore.

"Getting really hot." I answered, confused by the other option. "Well, its a rare case really but the theory is that if your mind feels hatred towards your soulmate your heart would reject that and cause you pain. It can only happen if you already have the necklace already and, in the rare case, you wouldn't know who that is. Its never been proven though from what I know." My aunt explained and I nodded. But, there's no way that Junkyu is my soulmate, maybe there's some other explanation to it.

As soon as we got home I went to my room and texted Junkyu that I can't come to his cousin's wedding.

"That damned koala." I whispered as he left me on read. What the hell is that mess gonna do? Oh I hope he doesn't do anything crazy.

I got ready just in case he somehow manages to convince my aunt, though I doubt he can. I heard the doorbell ring and tensed up. I looked at the time and it was indeed, 7pm. I decided to peak from the stairs, my aunt opened the door and there stood Junkyu, in his fancy suit and everything, wait, was that a limo behind him? No way. I couldn't quiet hear what they were saying but Junkyu seemed pleased from what I could see.

My aunt nodded at something he said and suddenly I heard my name being called. "You can come out now Eunmi." I heard Junkyu say and I flinched. I walked down the stairs and looked nervously at my aunt. She had a smile on her face. "You didn't tell me your guy friend was the heir to xxx company." She said, quite pleased. My eyes widened a bit as I looked at Junkyu, well now I know why he's so filthy rich. I could mentally feel him shrug at my widened eyes. "You can go to his cousin's wedding my dear, be sure to bring her back until 11pm." My aunt said and bid us goodbye. I walked out the door and my aunt shut it behind me.
