Blood and Chocolate

Chapter 1: First Day

Alice Aragon Veradow

I sat bolt upright, I was defenitely awake now, My body was drenched in a cold sweat, I was shaking completely and gasping. It was a nightmare hit me in my dreams. I sighed deeply, I--it was just a dream Alice! Marahan kong inabot ang baso sa gilid ng kama ko at uminom ng tubig. I looked around then finally looked at my self. I was wearing my pajamas, How is this possible? Ang naalala ko lang ay may sinusundan ako sa gubat, well again, It was just a bad dream. At kinikilabutan ako dun, I don't know what's happening to me, at lagi ko nalang iyon napapaginipan. I sighed. 

"Alice!" my sister voice reached, kami lang ng kapatid ko ang magkasama, My parents had died in a car accident about a year ago. We had been in the accident too but we survived. It was difficult to live by our selves at first because we didn't have much money but then we got money that my dad left for us when he had died. Then we weren't poor. 

Ang kapatid ko ang bumubuhay sa'amin, Isa syang secretary sa isang company and I think maganda na rin iyon dahil malaki-laki ang sweldo niya. We liked to save as much money as we could though. My sister was single even though she's really pretty. She has curly brown hair and big chocolate brown eyes like mine. Guys went crazy for her all the time. She just never pays much attention to them. 

 Well, Me on the other hand have straight hair dark brown shoulder lenght hair and small chocolate brown eyes. I get a couple of guys but I tend to ignore them. They all either are not my type or their players so I don't even bother them. 

'Alice!" She called my name three times more, bago ako kumilos at tatayo na sana ako ng mabitawan ko ang hawak kong baso. Dali-dali ko itong pinulot ang basag na baso na syang dahilan ng pagkasugat ng kamay ko, hindi nako nagtaka sa naamoy kong sariwang dugo dahil sa hiwa sa kamay ko. Nanginnginig ko itong tinignan, Oh God! I hate blood! Naalaala ko na naman ang panaginip ko kagabe at kinikilabutan ako dun. Linibot ko ang aking tingin sa paligid nakabukas ang bintana na ikinataka ko. Nakasarado naman ito kagabe at minsan ko lang ito binubuksan. Ramdam ko rin ang hangin na galing sa bintana at tumayo ang balahibo ko doon. Maya't maya biglang bumukas ang pinto at iniluwa si Ate na bakas sa mukha ang pag-aalala. "Alice, Didn't you hear me yelling for you? breakfast is--" whatever she had been about to say was cut short, no doubt by the blood in my hands.

Nagaalala itong lumapit sa akin, She looked at me and took my bloody hands in hers, "What happened?" She asked frantically and looked at me "Are you okay? How did you hurt yourself?" 

I nodded "Im fine, Don't mind it." I looked at my face at the side mirror beside my bed, and her face followed it. 

"You're not, and you know that." she said and tap my back, Tumingin ako sa mga mata niya at bahagyang yumuko, "I don't know what's happening to me, Ate.." nagsimula ng bumagsak ang luha ko. "I don't know." 

"Shhhss.. don't cry, Im here okay? bangungot lang yan and don't overthink." marahan ko syang niyakap. Kinalma ko ang sairili ko ng mapansin ko ganito parin ang posisyon namin, Bumitaw ako sa pagkakayakap  at tumayo "I need to get dressed, Ate." tumango lang ito bilang tugon.

Nagsimula na akong maglakad paputang c.r ng tinawag niya muli ang pangalan ko "Alice?" I turned around "Yah?" 

"Nagtataka na ako sa mga kinikilos mo, may problema ba?" she asked then she walked towards me.
